I was prescribed Moxclav 625 three times a day for 5 days by my ent doctor for my unilateral tonsillitis. Now online I am reading Amoxicillin is given for 7 to 10 days. Can anyone clear up my confusion?

After taking vertin I am fine but when I miss dosage i start having dizziness. My psychiatrist has asked me to consult an ENT. Neck pain and difficult in swallowing
I have severe pain under my left ear downwards to my neck and I feel difficult in swallowing and there is slight inflammation there but no redness and nothing just i have severe pain there what could be the reason doc is it something serious or it will be ok by itself within few days, by the it is since last 3-4 days , is there any home remedy which I can do to reduce this because I live in hostel and it's my exam time I can't even go for checkup.
