Hi I had to undergo ingrown nail removal surgery after which doctor prescribed chymosan forte for pain and ecosure dsr. Wanted to check if these are safe to take as I am breastfeeding my 1 month old baby. If no what are the alternatives.
My son is 4-week-old (born at 34 weeks 2 days). I’m exclusively breastfeeding now after 3 weeks of Formula and Breastfeed.
Hr feeds roughly every 1–2.5 hours and usually takes one breast per feed for about 20–30 minutes. He feeds actively and often falls asleep after feeding.
My main concern is about spit-ups. He spits up quite frequently after feeds. The milk often looks curdled, and sometimes it happens even while I’m holding him upright (I usually keep him upright for about 15–20 minutes after feeds). He also very occasionally coughs or chokes briefly during feeds, but not very often and he recovers quickly.
After feeds, he sometimes cries when I lay him down and needs a bit of calming before settling. Otherwise, he seems okay — he passes urine and stools normally and seems relaxed/sleepy after feeds.
I just wanted to understand: Is this kind of spit-up pattern normal for his age (especially considering he was born a bit early)?
Is there anything I should be doing differently?
My daughter is 2years and 8 months..
She's been having morning coughs(as soon as she wakes up for around 10 seconds not continuous though) since last December..it's on and off episode.
Consulted her pediatrician and he's examined her and said there's mild wheezing as of now..on first examination Dr had prescribed levolin, fexagon and nasoclear saline drops..that doesn't seem to work,so now the Dr has prescribed Asthalin inhaler (2 puffs ,5-6 times a day) for 5 days..
Since then she's been having mucus(whitish/yellowish)out of her nose..she still has morning cough that has not subsided and cold too..
she's an active child, playful,no day time cough,no tiredness nothing..just worried why is her cough not subsiding.
Hello Doctor,
My child (6 years old) is having chickenpox. Today is the 5th day.
Symptoms:
- Fever, especially at night
- Multiple blisters all over the body and face
- Some blisters appear to have pus
- Child is active at times in the morning, but becomes dull during fever
- Right eyelid is reddish and slightly swollen
We are currently giving Levocet syrup at night for itching. We are also giving coconut water and fruits as per the child’s preference.
Kindly advise:
1. Is this a normal stage or a sign of infection?
2. Do we need any antibiotic ointment or medicine?
3. What care should we follow at this stage?
I am also attaching photos for your reference.
Thank you.
I started her formula(lactogen 30ml)as part of bottle training on Tuesday(24/03) till sunday i was giving her 30 ml in day sometimes twice 60ml she was fine till Sunday afternoon, but i had spicy food on Saturday evening. From sunday after she started pooping 3-4 times a day now its 3 day she still poop for 6 times not full mostly less many times. Poop is light pale yellow semi watery with some lumpy seeds . What should I do although she is playful feeding welll fully active .
Should I continue formula ? Or any medicine?
