I'm a 30F with back-to-back dental problems from old work. On one side, both molars 1 & 2 had root canals 5 years ago. Molar 1 failed and was extracted last week.
On the other side, molar 1 was removed at age 16. A dental bridge was placed in 2012 by trimming two healthy adjacent teeth. It was fine for 15 years. After chewing on that side post-extraction, I got mild sensitivity and dull pain. X-ray showed no root issue except a lesion on the last abutment tooth. The dentist removed the bridge, waited 24 hours, then re-cemented it. He said if pain persists, RCT may be needed. Since re-cementing, I still have sensitivity, dull ache, and occasional jaw discomfort.
For the new extraction gap, he suggested a dental implant in 3 weeks to prevent teeth shifting. But I’m scared due to recent issues. I may also need RCT + a new bridge on the other side. Feeling very anxious.
Implacted bony wisdom tooth has been extracted...now what will happen to 2nd molar. ...please help me in this regard...and I don't want to go with rct...is filling okay
Please help me...my age is 23...I have impacted wisdom teeth which caused decay in back side of 2nd molar...now doctor suggesing extraction of wisdom teeth...and saying we will remove decay..then will tell if root canal needed or filling...more chances of rct...please help.me...as.i don't want to go for root canal
Observing little redness inside cheek near lower wisdom tooth since last three days. Had history of tobacco chewing but stopped since last five months. Sometimes use to chew pan without tobacco. The place was also being irritated by tooth pick sometimes as there is a cavity next to wisdom tooth. How to treat this?
I have had pain on the right side of my forehead/temple for the last 2 days (pain around 7/10). I also have pain in my right lower wisdom tooth, which is partially erupted. I am not having fever, vomiting, blurred vision, or weakness. I had a cold a few days ago, but it has resolved.
**Could the forehead pain be related to my wisdom tooth? What medicine can I take for temporary relief, and do I need to see a General Physician or a Dentist first?
