Health Q&A
Periods delayed

My periods are regular each month and last periods date was 9th April, we had intercourse on 8th April and immediately next day I had bleeding which lasted for 2 days only. Usually it lasts for 4 days. Since then I don't have my periods yet. I took UPT today and there is a faint line on it. Could it be possible that I am pregnant? Also last month my ENT gave me steroid Defza 6 for throat infection twice a day for 5 days. Could that be reason for delay in periods? I am 41 years old. We have tried to conceive naturally and through IVF in the last few years and have not been able to conceive just fyi. Had 2 early miscarriages at 8 weeks.

Beta hcg rising and bleeding

Two days ago i did a home pregnancy test which showed a faint positive line. So i did a blood beta hcg test that showed 17.90. That same day i started having my periods like bleeding (14th May). My LMP was 14th April. Bleeding is bright-red with clots. After 48 hours i retested betahcg and it is 44.23! I am still bleeding and now i am getting extreme cramps and pain on my left side (lower abdomen and lower back). I do not wish to continue this pregnancy at all as i am scared its ectopic. Please guide me so that i can take a methotrexate shot to end this pregnancy as soon as possible. I don't want an ectopic rupture.

My beta hCG was 17.90 mIU/mL but i got my periods on that same day(as per my due date) and after around 46 hours it increased to 44.23 mIU/mL.
