Health Q&A
Need career advice

I am a 25-year-old male and a first-generation doctor. My father will retire in the next 3–4 years, and after that, I will have to take care of my family. I am the eldest in my family. Last year, I was getting MD Medicine in a peripheral semi-government medical college. However, many students from that college advised me not to take it because I might end up being a subpar MD Medicine doctor due to the limited clinical exposure there. Apparently, their hospital refers almost all MI and stroke cases to higher centres. So, I decided to take a drop. However, after checking the NEET-PG 2026 recalls, I don’t think I will get a government or dnb seat this year either. So, I am planning to try for semi-government colleges again this year. Considering that I will have to take care of my family after my father’s retirement, which branch would be better for me in the long term — MD Medicine or Radiology
