Health Q&A
Vitamin B Profile low

Hi Doctor, I reviewed my recent blood reports and would appreciate your advice. * Folate (B9): 3.5 ng/mL (low) * Vitamin B12: 245 pg/mL (low-normal) * Vitamin D: 31.4 ng/mL (sufficient) * Magnesium: 2.21 mg/dL (normal) * Homocysteine: 22.7 µmol/L (elevated) * CRP: 29.93 mg/L and ESR: 25 mm/hr (elevated) Could you advise whether I need folic acid and/or B12 supplements, any additional tests, and when to repeat them? I’m also experiencing persistent calf and lower-leg pain. Could these results contribute to the pain, or do I need further investigations? My recent dental treatment may be relevant to the elevated CRP. Thank you.

Cant gain weight!

I’m 20 years old and weigh only 36 kg. Is this healthy? I eat like a normal 20-year-old, but no matter what I eat, my weight just doesn’t seem to increase. I’ve been struggling to gain weight, and I’m starting to wonder if something is wrong. All reports are nrml.
