I have been recently diagnosed with Hypertension. It's been 15-days. My BP readings have consistently been 155/95. Visited general practitioner. Been advised to take Talzoc 40mg in the morning and Promolet 12.5mg in the night. It's been 3-daya since I started the medication. The BP reading today has been 153/93. Is this OK? Shouldn't it comes down since am medication? And will such readings despite on tablets pose any problems?

Most of the hypertension medicines took 1-2week for its action to begins.But along with medicine you should have some lifestyle modification like decrease salt intake,avoid oily food,ban junk food and most importantly start aerobic exercise 15 min in morning and 15 min in evening.and dont worry about your bp it will come down within 7-10days
