Atenolol and hypertension
Been taking BP for a few days. Most times it's 140-150/90's, sometimes diastolic of 100. I am 39yo male. A few it's more normal 125/80's. Went to a doctor who seemingly quickly prescribed 25mg of atenolol once a day to be taken at night. I'm worried about taking the first dose and going to bed. I took my BP and it's 125/88 before taking my first dose. HR of 85. Should I start the med? Or wait and talk to my doctor again? Will my BP or HR drop too low when asleep? Worried about side effects.
