This feedback is not for the doctor but Femcity hospital where she is a consulting doctor.
e chose this hospital because it was dedicated to women with majority of female doctors. We started consulting Dr.Jayabala who gave her best right from the first consultation until my wife was discharged. However, problems slowly started surfacing with the staff (especially receptionists & then with the nurses).
The receptionists are always clueless as to what is happening & what should be the next step. They tend to make false promises without even knowing or understanding the standard procedures.
The room allocated (room # 105) did not have A/C in working condition. Upon complaining the patient was moved (had to walk as stretched was not available) after 4 hours.
Availability of stepper was always a problem as they seem to have just 1 stepper for such a huge hospital.
public relations officer was only concerned about feedback & she went to the extent of taking off the feedback form from our room without any notification.
The Director of the hospital started paying regular visits from 25th Feb onwards & made valiant efforts to both calm us down & also get things sorted out at the earliest BUT the most unfortunate thing was the staff did not seem to follow even the instructions of their director. The stepper was only available completely a day before the discharge.
Finally, at the time of discharge/bill payment, the MD shows up & has the following explanation for all the mishaps:
1.C-Section patients get mobilized within 4 hours of operation.
My question: If so, then why was the patient brought down to the room on stretcher (after 6 hours of CS) & why when the room's A/C was not working, the thought of mobilizing came up that too without under doctor's supervision?
2.Non availability of a stepper is a small thing & you are playing a trick to get discount on the bill.
If money was a matter for me, I would not have selected a hospital where I have to pay 70K. Because patients care was utmost concern, this hospital because of it's marketing gimmick became our choice.
It has been a total nightmare with Femcity & I am only glad that I no longer have to deal with them ever, ever in my life.
I will conclude this with a famous saying, you got to "walk the talk". Lip service will not make anybody feel valued, it has to be shown in actions through service which seems to be the last thing on their menu.
