  2. A small incision will be made to insert the laparoscope. Sometimes, more incisions may be made to use other surgical tools.
  3. Carbon dioxide will be used to see the organs more clearly.
  4. The laparoscope is inserted into the abdomen through the small incision and locates the appendix.
  5. Now, the appendix is tied off and removed through the incision.
  6. After removing the appendix, carbon dioxide will be let out through the incisions.
  7. A small tube may be placed in the incision site to drain out the fluids.
