Based on your test reports, I can see that your Widal test shows positive results for Salmonella typhi antibodies (both O and H antigens at 1:80 dilution), which indicates that you are suffering from Typhoid Fever. This explains why you have not improved with the cephalosporin antibiotics (Microcef cv 200 and Pulmocef cv 500) that you have been taking, as these are not the first-line treatment for typhoid fever.
The fact that your malaria parasite test is negative and there are no typical dengue or malaria symptoms further supports the diagnosis of enteric fever (typhoid).
Typhoid fever typically presents with:
- Sustained high fever (usually higher in the evening)
- Fever lasting more than 5-7 days
- Relative bradycardia (pulse rate lower than expected for the fever)
- Headache, body aches
- Loss of appetite
- Abdominal discomfort
Your CRP level of 6 mcg/ml indicates mild inflammation, which is consistent with the infection.
Next Steps
You need to immediately consult your doctor for proper typhoid fever treatment. Here are the recommended steps: 1. ANTIBIOTIC CHANGE: Stop the current cephalosporin antibiotics. You need to start appropriate anti-typhoid antibiotics such as: - Azithromycin (500 mg once daily for 7 days) OR - Ceftriaxone injection (2-4 grams daily for 7-10 days) OR - Ciprofloxacin (if sensitivity is confirmed) 2. FEVER MANAGEMENT: Continue paracetamol 650mg every 6-8 hours for fever control. Apply cold water sponging if fever goes above 102°F. 3. HYDRATION: Drink plenty of fluids (at least 3-4 liters per day) - ORS, coconut water, fruit juices, and soups to prevent dehydration. 4. DIET: Take soft, easily digestible food. Avoid spicy, oily, and high-fiber foods. Take small frequent meals. 5. REST: Complete bed rest is essential for recovery. 6. FOLLOW-UP TESTS: After completing the antibiotic course, you may need repeat blood tests to confirm clearance of infection. 7. URGENT CONSULTATION: If you develop severe abdominal pain, vomiting, bleeding in stools, or confusion, seek immediate medical attention.
Health Tips
IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS: 1. DO NOT self-medicate or continue the current antibiotics without proper medical consultation, as incomplete or wrong treatment can lead to complications like intestinal perforation or hemorrhage. 2. Typhoid is a communicable disease - maintain strict hand hygiene, use separate utensils, and ensure proper sanitation to prevent spreading infection to family members. 3. Do NOT consume outside food, street food, or raw vegetables during treatment. Drink only boiled and cooled water or bottled water. 4. Complete the full course of antibiotics even if you feel better, to prevent relapse and development of antibiotic resistance. 5. Watch for warning signs: severe abdominal pain, altered consciousness, blood in stools, persistent vomiting - these require immediate emergency care. 6. Your Widal test titers are relatively low (1:80), which is why proper clinical correlation and appropriate treatment are essential. 7. Family members should also be monitored for symptoms, and if needed, they should get tested as well. Note: This is an educational response. Please consult your doctor in person for prescription of appropriate antibiotics and proper management of typhoid fever.
Please don't do self medication for fever of 8 days duration. You should consult a General Physician in your area for a physical examination, a few investigations and further management

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician.
Your case has been allotted to me.
I understand your concern. Persistent fever for more than a week without other symptoms can sometimes occur due to hidden infections or inflammation in the body that may not show clear signs early on.
1. Advices
Continue proper hydration and light diet. Avoid oily and heavy food.
Get enough rest and maintain body temperature chart every 6 hours.
Avoid taking multiple antibiotics without review. Sometimes fever persists due to viral or typhoid infection that needs a targeted approach.
2. What to Monitor
Any new symptoms such as cough, rash, abdominal pain, urinary burning, or weakness.
Duration and pattern of feverâwhether continuous, intermittent, or evening rise.
3. Management
You may take Paracetamol 650 mg tablet when temperature rises above 100°F. Continue Pulmocef CV 500 only after review. It is advisable to get few basic tests done nowâCBC, ESR, Typhidot, Urine Routine, LFT, and Chest X-ray if cough or chest heaviness appears. Please avoid self-medicating further as exact treatment depends on these reports.
4. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately
If fever persists beyond 10 days or temperature exceeds 102°F.
If you feel severe weakness, breathlessness, or abdominal pain.
If new rashes or jaundice appear.
Every patientâs situation is unique. For accurate diagnosis and lasting relief, itâs important to discuss your medical history and test results in detail.

First of all, try not to spread this typhoid by using the same towels or other belongings. You'll need great hydration so drink as much water as possible.
For antibiotics, either you need to see a doctor in person or consult any qualified physician over here.
Do not try anything random from the internet.
Get well soon.
The patient needs further investigations for PUO such as Hemogram with ESR and peripheral smear and XRay chest PA view to rule out Pleural effusion or Pulmonay uberculosis or any blood related malignancy.
Meanwhile continue antibiotic and temperature charting.
You need proper clinical evaluation as well as repeat blood test
Next Steps
Consult a doctor
Take plenty of water
Monitor fever cycles
Check BP at regular intervals
Observe for any rashes on body
In case you feel dizzy, always stay with someone.
