Please adopt lifestyle modifications and continue taking Tab. Amlodipine after consulting your doctor. Irregular use with medication can be more harmful. Kindly also let me know your husband’s weight and his sleep pattern.

Stop amlodipine if taking daily
Monitor bp at home , automatic machines are available in market if you’re not comfortable with manual ones.
Dizziness is directly related to blood pressure.as it regulated the amount of blood heart pushes into the brain.
Does he often take more than required salt in diet or more coffee?

He should follow a healthy diet, restrict salt intake, increase potassium rich food, exercise regularly to lose weight.Check his ambulatory BP average to determine if he has to continue with medicine.Dizziness immediately after eating could be due to post prandial hypotension or a drop in glucose level
Hello,
Dizziness immediately after food intake may occur due to the redirection of blood flow from the brain to the stomach and intestines to aid digestion. In individuals with a normally functioning nervous system, regulatory mechanisms in the brain and spinal cord quickly adjust to maintain adequate blood supply to the brain—preventing symptoms such as dizziness or sudden weakness.
However, in patients with long-standing hypertension especially not in control or not on regular medications, these regulatory mechanisms can become impaired. As a result, the body may not correct the drop in blood flow promptly, leading to the symptoms the patient is experiencing.

- CBC
- Blood sugar levels ( FBS, PPBS, HbA1c)
- Fating Lipid Profile
- Ecg
Health Tips
Medication adherence: Take blood pressure medications every day as prescribed, not only when you notice high readings or symptoms.
Blood pressure monitoring: Check your blood pressure 4–5 times a day and record the values. This log will help your doctor assess whether your current medication is adequate.
--When readings are high:
If systolic pressure (above) is more than 160 mmHg and or diastolic pressure ( below) is more than 100 mmHg, lie down and rest.
Recheck your blood pressure after 15 minutes, go for the other hand.
If it remains elevated, go to the nearest clinic or hospital immediately.
Make sure the BP is recorded by correct method
- Watch for warning signs: Seek urgent medical attention if you experience:
Severe headache
Nausea or vomiting
Blurred vision
Chest pain or palpitations (rapid heartbeat)
Sudden indigestion
Weakness in the arms, legs, or face
Fainting episodes
-Lifestyle measures:
Avoid tobacco use.
Drink adequate fluids to stay hydrated.
Exercise at least 30–35 minutes, five times a week (brisk walking is enough).
- Managing dizziness after meals:
Lie down for 30–45 minutes after eating and avoid sudden movements.
Eat smaller, lighter meals every 2–3 hours (5–6 times a day) instead of three regular heavy meals.
Avoid heavy, oily food
Take care
If there is a fluctuation of BP and associated dizziness both correlate to the given clinical picture of yours..better avoid bp medications..do the workup for the cause of elevated BP(may be migraine or stress related if he has symptoms pertaining to it)

Stemetil MD two times after food when feel dizzy for 3 to five. Days.
Vertin 8mg three times a day after food followed by rest.
Cause
Cervical vertebrae
Internal ear
Brain.
Should avoid the tobacco and salt intake and fried foods .he should drink a lots of water that keeps hydrated .even lack of water intake fluctuates bp.again check the blood pressure in nearby clinic and increase the dosage of the tablets he was taken
Maybe it is the effect of Tobacco consumption. It leads to elevated blood pressure. Let he stop consumption for a week and then check BP at the end of a week

1. Why his BP fluctuates
Normal physiology – Everyone’s BP varies across the day (sleep, meals, stress, activity).
Hypertension not well-controlled – Since he takes Amlodipine only “as needed”, his BP control is erratic. BP meds are usually prescribed regularly, not on-and-off, otherwise you see spikes and dips.
Tobacco (Khaini) – Nicotine causes vasoconstriction + transient BP rise, followed by a drop, worsening fluctuations.
Age (44 yrs) – With age, blood vessels stiffen and the body’s ability to regulate sudden BP changes weakens.
---
2. Why dizziness after meals
This sounds like Postprandial Hypotension (PPH) – common in older adults and hypertensives.
After eating, blood is diverted to the digestive system.
Normally, the heart and vessels adjust by increasing heart rate and vascular tone.
In some people (especially with BP meds, autonomic dysfunction, or vessel stiffness), this adjustment fails → drop in BP → dizziness/lightheadedness after meals.
---
3. Red flags to consider
If dizziness is severe, associated with fainting, chest pain, palpitations, or shortness of breath → urgent evaluation.
Longstanding uncontrolled BP can affect heart, kidneys, and brain → so this needs regular follow-up, not just PRN medication.
---
4. What you should do
🔹 Medical review: He needs a physician/cardiologist to:
Check if he actually has sustained hypertension (24-hr ambulatory BP monitoring is best).
Decide if he should be on a regular daily antihypertensive, instead of PRN Amlodipine.
Rule out other causes of dizziness (anemia, arrhythmias, diabetes with autonomic neuropathy, inner ear causes).
🔹 Lifestyle adjustments for post-meal dizziness:
Smaller, more frequent meals rather than large ones.
Limit high-carb meals (these drop BP faster).
Stay upright for 30–60 min after eating.
Adequate hydration.
Avoid alcohol and tobacco (khaini worsens vascular instability).
---
✅ Bottom line:
His symptoms are very likely due to post-meal blood pressure drops + irregular use of antihypertensives. With proper evaluation and regular BP management (plus stopping khaini), this can usually be controlled.
