Disturbed sleep pattern
Hello, I'm not able to sleep properly for prolonged hours. I barely sleep for 3-4 hours, and then my sleep breaks. I usually sleep in intervals, and because of this, I always feel irritated. I really want to sleep for 8 hours straight. However, it hardly happens. I need help to improve my sleep schedule. Thanks!

Hello dear, Irregular sleep can be frustrating and affect your daily life. Here are some healthy sleep habits that may help improve your sleep schedule: Healthy Sleep Tips: 1. Maintain a Sleep Schedule: Sleep and wake up at the same time daily, even on weekends. 2. Create a Relaxing Bedtime Routine: Avoid screens (phones, laptops, TV) 30-60 minutes before bedtime. Try meditation, deep breathing, or reading a book before sleeping. 3. Optimize Your Sleep Environment: Keep your room dark, quiet, and at a comfortable temperature. Use blackout curtains or a sleep mask if needed. 4. Watch Your Diet: Avoid caffeine and nicotine 4-6 hours before bed. Avoid heavy meals right before sleeping. 5. Stay Active: Engage in regular physical activity, but avoid exercising too close to bedtime. 6. Manage Stress: Practice relaxation techniques like yoga or journaling to reduce stress and anxiety. If these lifestyle changes do not improve your sleep within 2-4 weeks, or if your sleep issues worsen, consult a doctor for further evaluation. There could be underlying conditions such as insomnia, anxiety, or  hormonal imbalances that may require medical intervention.
