My Experience at Upasani Hospital, Mulund

My name is Prince Jain, and I am from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. I had been suffering from pain and problems in both my knees for quite some time, and eventually I had to undergo Total Knee Replacement of both knees.

I decided to have my surgery at Upasani Hospital in Mulund, Mumbai, under Dr. Tejas Upasani Sir. Coming all the way from Andhra Pradesh to Mumbai was a big decision for me, but today, after seeing my recovery, I am very satisfied with my decision.

Before the surgery, Dr. Tejas Sir clearly explained the implant, robotic system, surgical procedure, recovery and expenses to me. I really appreciated his transparency and the way he explained everything. It gave me confidence before going into surgery.

I was especially worried about the pain after surgery. But my personal experience was very good.

Honestly, I did not even realise when the operation was done and when my recovery had already started.

Dr. Tejas Sir and Dr. Nivedita Ma’am took very good care of my anaesthesia and pain management.

I also really appreciated Dr. Tejas Sir’s daily rounds after the surgery. He would pay attention not only to the patient but also to the room, nursing care, cleanliness and even small details that could affect our comfort. His friendly nature and the way he spoke to patients also made the hospital experience much more comfortable.

The nursing staff was supportive, and the physiotherapy team helped me a lot during my recovery.

There is one thing about Dr. Tejas Sir that I personally found very meaningful. His respected mother, Dr. Shraddha D. Upasani Ma’am, named him “Tejas.”

After seeing his work personally, I feel that the name is truly appropriate.

His mother named him Tejas, and today her son is shining in the field of orthopaedic surgery through his dedication and work.

Upasani Hospital is a Super Multispeciality Hospital with facilities across different medical specialties. For me, what stood out most was the personal care and warmth I received throughout my treatment.

I came from Kadapa to Mumbai for treatment, but I am going back with a very good experience and a lot of gratitude.

My father is diabetic and this guys have put very tight plaster on his fractured foot which led to multiple bruises. When we shared photos to another doctor he called us urgently.

It took almost half an Hour or more just to cut thru the plaster. Also new doctor told us we are just in time otherwise this could have led to diabetic foot.

Doctor Tejas charges 2k for the consultation and he himself never attended my father. He was attended by some assistant doctor. Doctor doesn't have time to even look if the assistant has done the job properly.

My parents are senior citizens and they were not even treated respectfully.

He always ensures we are comfortable and keeps the vibe of the consultation room very light, happy and stress free. He always gives accurate diagnosis and his meds always work and doesn't give unnecessary medicines. We have had a great experience with him and will continue to have so. He is one of the doctors to whom you feel like going and always give assurance of good health. Bonus: Dr Durve is really funny. :) 100/10 recommended

I had got connected with Doctor Upasani in 2002. I was having many menstrual related problem which doctor brought in control with medicines, injections and with 11 months of treatment I got twins (boy and girl).

Special recommendations are, once you meet the doctor, you get the feeling that yes this is the doctor I was looking for (who are not getting conceived), she is so confident with lot of positive energy which makes you feel believe in her and get your treatment start.

Staff is so friendly that I felt like at home (which we call Maher in marathi).

I got this platform to express myself which I wanted to tell whole world that she is God mother for women who are not getting children.

I swear I’ll never suggest this doctor to anyone

*** **** ** ***** ******* ** ***** *******. My dad had 90% blocks and has 3 major other surgeries in past. For my Dad, CABG was performed under his hands in Kikabai hosp matunga and it was successful. The recovery was superfast and he is fit and fine now. Thanks to the ***** surgeon 🙏

I'm his patient for the last 2 years or so. Besides a good doctor a soft spoken personality also.

******** Diagnosis by Dr. Shinde helped detect Bone TB for my father, within no time, literally in less than a week's time, whereas previously consulted so-called "reputed" doctors at ****** Hospital were clueless for almost a year as to what was causing the recurring fever and weakness.

A similar timely diagnosis in my mother's case for an illness also helped her recover well.
