People usually succumb to hypertension due to various causes like stress, being obese or overweight, high intake of salt, too much alcohol consumption (more than 2 pegs per day), stress, family history of high blood pressure, chronic kidney disease, thyroid disorders etc.

Shouting at your mother, father, brother, husband, kids, severe headache at the back of your head, sweating. Sounds familiar to any one of you?

Then yes, you are suffering from hypertension. Other general symptoms involved are: Breathlessness, bleeding from nose, vomiting, blurred vision, fatigue, sleepiness, tinnitus (ringing sound in the ears).

Tests which are done for the confirmation of hypertension:

  • Measuring Blood Pressure with a Sphygmomanometer
  • Electrocardiogram
  • Echocardiogram
  • Plain Chest X-ray
  • Doppler Ultrasound

How to deal with it?

The speciality of Ayurveda lies in the concept of disease and concept of complete cure. So it focusing the root cause of the disease.
