1. Exercise

Exercise relieves stress in several ways. One of the ways are cardiovascular workouts that stimulate brain chemicals that foster growth of nerve cells and increases the activity of serotonin and/or norepinephrine. A quick stroll in the morning or in the evening might be just enough to tell the stress hormones in your blood to scatter.

2. Breathing Exercises

Breathe slowly and deeply. Before facing the stressful event, take three deep breaths and release them slowly. If you have a few minutes, try out a relaxation technique such as meditation or guided imagery which relaxes the nerves and makes our mind and body feel relaxed.

3. Reward Oneself

One can reward oneself at the end of a stressful day. One always need time to recharge and energize yourself. Rewards can be as small as watching a movie or eating your favorite meal etc.

4. Laughter is the Best Medicine

One must have a good support network of colleagues, friends and family who can act as emotional support and can ease the troubles and help us see things in a different way and suggest solutions to the problems.

Look at the positives in life, and things for which you're grateful. Writing down 3 things that went well, or for which you're grateful, at the end of every day makes us feel happy.
