Vitamin b12 & d
Hello Doctor, my previous blood tests showed Vitamin B12 = 167 pg/mL and Vitamin D = 13 ng/mL. I came across these results and, after checking online, I started taking Nurokind-OD and Uprise-D3 on my own for 2 months. However, due to irregularity, I ended up taking the 2-month course over a period of around 6 months. Should I get my B12 and Vitamin D levels checked now, or should I restart and complete a regular 2-month course first and then get the tests done? Please advise me on what would be best.

B12 167 pg/mL aur Vitamin D 13 ng/mL dono low levels hain. Aapne supplements irregularly liye hain, isliye course ko simply repeat karne ke bajay ab levels recheck karna better rahega. Abhi Vitamin B12, 25-OH Vitamin D aur CBC repeat karwa sakte hain. Reports ke basis par supplementation ka dose aur duration decide kiya ja sakta hai.
Next Steps
Agar weakness, tingling/numbness, excessive fatigue ya other symptoms hain to consultation delay na karein. B12 deficiency ke cause ko bhi assess karna important hai, especially agar diet adequate hone ke bawajood level low hai. Vitamin D ke liye calcium level aur relevant clinical factors ko bhi consider kiya ja sakta hai. Supplements apne aap high-dose mein continue na karein.
Health Tips
Balanced diet rakhein aur prescribed supplements ko regular schedule ke according lein—irregular dosing se treatment ka expected benefit nahi mil pata. Aap apni latest reports share karke mere saath consultation/connect kar sakte hain, jisse aapke B12 aur Vitamin D ke liye appropriate treatment plan aur follow-up testing discuss ki ja sake.

Your B12 of 167 and vitamin D of 13 were both genuinely low, so supplementing was the right instinct. Taking the course irregularly over six months means you did get the total dose, but not steadily - so the levels have probably improved, though I cannot say by how much. There is no benefit in repeating another blind course first; that only delays clarity.
Next Steps
Get repeat B12 and vitamin D levels done now, but stop the supplements for about 1-2 weeks before the B12 test, otherwise the value will look falsely high. After that we can decide whether you need a maintenance dose or a proper loading course. Since low B12 at 25 is a bit unusual, also mention any tingling, numbness, mouth ulcers, vegetarian diet or long-term antacid use - and get a CBC done along with it.

Hello! Please do not restart the supplements just yet.Since your previous course was spread irregularly over 6 months, we need to check where your levels stand today. Please get fresh Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D blood tests done.
Next Steps
Get you levels checked
Health Tips
Irregular dosing makes current levels unpredictable, and Vitamin D can accumulate.

Hi, since you already completed the full 2-month dose (even though spread over 6 months), it's fine to get your B12 and Vitamin D levels checked now rather than restarting the course. Repeating the course again without checking levels first isn't necessary and may lead to unnecessarily high B12/D levels.
Next Steps
Please get a repeat blood test for Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D now. Based on the new reports, further treatment (continue, stop, or adjust dose) can be decided — ideally discuss the results with a physician so dosing can be personalised to your levels.
Health Tips
Going forward, please avoid taking these supplements on your own long-term without periodic testing — vitamin D especially can build up in the body if overdosed, so it's best taken under a doctor's guidance based on follow-up levels.
