I have been suffering from seasonal allergies for three years. It mainly happens from July to August or sometimes to September. Symptoms are sneezing, a runny nose and a cough in the throat. No issues in winters at all. Until I take allergy meds prescribed by a doctor I feel fine. The day I skipped it, the symptoms come again. I really want to know what is the main cause of it. What blood test should i get done?

I think the time mention by you is mostly rainy season. When it is foggy atmosphere you got allergy. So you need to wear mask when go out side. Most proper way to avoid allergy is to not come in contct with allergens. Also you can go for detailed allergy test if possible.
There is a test called allergen test wherein various suspected allergen are patch tested to see which substances you maybe allergic to. So you can do that and get back with the results. Till then you can continue with the prescribed medication

Seasonal allergies are mainly due to pollen dust due to that particular season , primary advise is to avoid the allergen , you are particularly prone to these allergies due to increased immune response to those dust particles and cannot be treated completely, best is to avoid and treat if affected. Do consult if symptoms appear to be aggregated.
Health Tips
Wear a mask while in outside environment, and take anti allergic medicine like levocetirizine etc when symptoms appear
You might be right about it being a seasonal allergy. The best thing you can do is avoid the allergen that is causing symptoms.. to do that you must identify and avoid the cause of it .. apart from this use face mask whenever you go out.
