Start your day with 1-2 soaked raisins and a glass of lukewarm water – it helps calm your stomach. Eat something light within 30 minutes of waking up – never stay empty stomach for long. Avoid tea or coffee on empty stomach – take it only after eating something. Choose soft, easy-to-digest breakfast like oats with milk, poha, upma, or suji cheela – skip spicy or deep-fried items. Eat small meals every 2-3 hours – don’t let your stomach stay empty for too long, it triggers acidity. Use less oil, chilli, garlic, and heavy masalas – go for light cooking with jeera, haldi, hing, ajwain instead. Curd or buttermilk is very helpful – include one small bowl in lunch or mid-meal. Coconut water once a day is very soothing for your stomach. Avoid raw onion, pickles, fried snacks, bakery food, and heavy sweets – they trigger acid. In fruits, prefer banana, papaya, apple, pear – avoid citrus fruits on empty stomach. Don’t lie down just after meals – keep at least a 2-hour gap between dinner and sleep. Drink ajwain water, jeera water or fennel seed (saunf) water after meals – it helps in digestion. Dinner should be very light – khichdi, dal-roti, or vegetable soup with soft roti is best. Stay away from packaged, spicy snacks and cold drinks – they increase acid production. Don’t overeat even healthy food – keep portions small but regular.
Next Steps
Avoid adding table salt, extra oil, or heavy tadka to your meals. This helps reduce unnecessary sodium and unhealthy fats, supporting better heart health and overall wellness.
