Frequent urination, increased thirst
Hi Doctor, I’m a 20-year-old male and would like some guidance regarding a few symptoms. For the past 7 days, I’ve been urinating quite frequently, around 8–9 times within 12 hours. Sometimes, even after urinating, I feel the urge to urinate again shortly afterward. I’ve also noticed that I’m more thirsty than usual and have been drinking water more frequently. For the past 2 months, I’ve also been experiencing persistent fatigue/tiredness. My sleep doesn’t feel completely refreshing, even when I get what seems like enough sleep, and I often feel the need to take a ~1-hour nap during the day. I initially thought this was due to sleeping late, but the tiredness has continued even after I started going to bed earlier. I’m also currently being treated for acne.My dermatologist prescribed Doxt-SL, which I’m taking as directed:Twice daily after food for 2 weeks Then once daily 4 weeks.

At 20, urinating 8-9 times with extra thirst plus two months of tiredness is a classic diabetes screen, not just poor sleep - that is the first thing I would rule out. Get fasting and post-meal sugar with HbA1c and a urine routine this week, and since the fatigue is older I would also add CBC, TSH and creatinine. Doxt-SL for acne does not cause this pattern, so do not stop it on your own - finish the course as your dermatologist planned. If you notice weight loss, blurred vision or very high urine output, treat it as urgent and get the sugar checked the same day.
Next Steps
Do the sugar, HbA1c and urine tests first, then share the reports with me on a Practo online consult or meet me in OPD at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj - I will tell you in one visit whether this is diabetes or something simpler.

Hello sir Frequent urination with increased thirst should be evaluated for blood sugar/urinary causes, especially as symptoms are recent. Persistent fatigue also warrants basic evaluation. Please don’t self-medicate or stop your acne treatment without discussing it with your dermatologist. For further evaluation and management, consult me through Practo

You're having frequent urination, increased thirst, and ongoing fatigue together, which is worth checking for diabetes even at your age. Please get a fasting blood sugar and HbA1c test done soon. Mention the Doxt-SL you're taking so your doctor can check if it's connected.
