My urine routine report shows bacteria 84.7/HPF, cocci 78.1/HPF, and mucus 182.8/HPF. WBC is normal at 0.8/HPF, and the urine is slightly turbid. I do not have any urinary symptoms such as burning, pain, urgency, or frequent urination. Could these findings be due to sample contamination rather than a UTI? Should I do a urine culture or need any treatment?

And then go for further KUB test , Urine culture and then treatment.
Next Steps
Drink plenty of water and eat fruits.
do exercise and avoid spicy food.
Can be sample contamination or asymptomatic bacteri uria.since not many out cells are there it can be contamination. If you have any symptoms do urine re again with culture and sensitivity

The presence of bacteria and mucus in urine does not by itself confirm a UTI, particularly when you have no urinary symptoms and the WBC count is normal. Sample contamination is certainly possible.
However, the report should be interpreted along with the urine collection method, epithelial cells, nitrite/leukocyte esterase and clinical history. I would not recommend starting antibiotics based on these findings alone.
If there is any doubt, a properly collected midstream clean-catch urine sample with urine culture can help clarify whether there is significant bacterial growth.
If you share the complete urine report, I can assess the findings together and advise whether further testing or treatment is actually required.
Kindly consult and give proper detailed history along with symptoms for evaluation and take proper timely treatment with relevant investigations if required.
This seems to be a sample contamination instead of an infection. Collect first urine passed in the morning
Not the beginning volume
But the middle volume for increased accuracy
Immediately close the cap without any contact
In my view, these findings can occur from sample contamination, especially when there are no urinary symptoms.
Please repeat a clean-catch midstream urine routine test; avoid collecting during menstruation.
Urine culture is needed if burning, urgency, fever, flank pain, pregnancy, or persistent abnormalities are present.
Do not start antibiotics based on this report alone.
You can share the complete report on Practo for a focused review.
Since you seem to have done a good reaserch by yourself and you seem pretty sure that you don't have any symptoms there is no point in treating the report per se. A repeat urine routine examination can be done before going for a culture report. And meanwhile history regarding any discharge, itching, or odor is required to rule out perineal contamination as the cause of these findings, rather than a true urinary tract infection.
Repeat urine R/E M/E. Go for urine culture and sensitivity. Get dome with CBC.
If results same , start with antibiotics and get done ultrasound of kidney ureter and bladder.
Your suspicion of sample contamination is very likely correct, as the presence of bacteria, cocci, and abundant mucus alongside a completely normal WBC count (0.8/HPF) strongly suggests vaginal or perineal skin contamination rather than an active UTI.
A true bacterial urinary tract infection virtually always triggers an immune response with elevated pus cells (leukocytes) in the urine.
Because you have zero urinary symptoms (no burning, urgency, or pain), this does not warrant antibiotic treatment.
Next Steps
Maintain adequate hydration with 2 to 3 liters of water daily to naturally flush the urinary tract.
Please book an online consultation with me. if you develop any lower urinary symptoms or would like us to review the repeat report together.
Health Tips
Do not start antibiotics for asymptomatic bacterial findings with normal white cells, as treating contamination or asymptomatic colonization promotes antibiotic resistance.
Seek prompt medical attention if you subsequently develop fever, painful burning while urinating, foul-smelling cloudy urine, or lower back pain.
Hi mam
As you have got no symptoms you may refrain from using antibiotics.
Need some more info about the symptoms and your menstrual cycle. kindly consult through the app for treatment.
Next Steps
Repeat Complete Urine Examination
Health Tips
when giving sample for urine examination try to use sealed sample bottles for collection and collect midstream urine.
with no urinary symptoms, your urine report is more suggestive of possible contamination or asymptomatic bacteriuria than a confirmed symptomatic UTI.
Avoid starting antibiotics solely based on these microscopy findings.
If pregnant, arrange a urine culture.
Bacteria are seen in the urine but your WBC count is normal and you have no urinary symptoms
This can happen due to sample contamination and does not necessarily mean you have a UTI
If you are not pregnant and have no symptoms, antibiotics are usually not needed.
Next Steps
If you want to confirm, you can repeat a properly collected clean-catch urine sample and do a urine culture, especially if the finding persists.
Health Tips
If you are pregnant, please mention it because the approach is different.
First of all don't be panic because it could be contamination. But still if there's any visible turbidity in urine then go for another urine test to get reassure where you give the sample of mid urine not the initial.
Next Steps
Further treatment is definitely depends upon your existing history
if you feel any symptoms like urinary pain, fever, burning micturition or any kind of systemic symptoms then visit a doctor for sure
focus on your water intake and increase it for sure for 3-4 Days
Health Tips
If there is any micturition at less sterile place then also go for a check for sure
If you're feeling error in any kind of Hygiene practice then fix it ASAP.
Please have a consultation of your current condition so that we can analyse the situation in a more detailed way and decide the treatment protocol or further diagnostic test required

Yes, these findings can be due to sample contamination, especially because you have no urinary symptoms and your WBC count is normal. Bacteria/cocci and mucus in urine, by themselves, do not confirm a UTI. Collection-related contamination is quite common, particularly if the sample was not a properly collected midstream clean-catch specimen.
Next Steps
If you remain completely symptom-free, antibiotics are generally not required just because bacteria are seen in routine urine examination. You can repeat the urine routine examination with a properly collected early-morning, midstream clean-catch sample. A urine culture can be considered if bacteria persist on a properly collected repeat sample, if symptoms develop, or if you have specific risk factors where screening is recommended. You can consult me for further information.
Health Tips
For the repeat sample, clean the genital area, start urinating first and collect the midstream portion in a sterile container without touching the inside. Drink your usual amount of water rather than excessively increasing fluids. If you develop burning urination, urgency/frequency, lower abdominal pain, fever, chills, or back/flank pain, consult a doctor and consider urine culture before starting antibiotics.
