Urine report with culture findings
My urine routine test showed normal SBC/pus cells, but some bacteria, cocci and mucus were reported. Based on this, my doctor advised me to do a urine culture. The urine culture sample was collected as a midstream clean-catch sample. Urine routine report: WBC/Pus cells: 0.8/HPF Bacteria: 84.7/HPF Cocci: 78.1/HPF Mucus: 182.8/HPF Urine appearance: Slightly turbid Urine culture report: Occasional pus cells Occasional epithelial cells No bacteria seen No growth in culture / Culture sterile I currently do not have any urinary symptoms such as burning while urinating, increased frequency, urgency, or lower abdominal pain. Could you please review both reports and let me know: Is everything normal? Does this indicate a UTI or could the bacteria seen in the routine test be due to contamination? Since the culture is sterile, do I need any antibiotics or other treatment? Do I need to repeat the urine test?

Your reports don't point to an active urinary infection right now. The bacteria and mucus on the routine test most likely came from the sample itself, especially since your culture grew nothing and you have no symptoms.
Next Steps
You don't need antibiotics based on this. If burning, urgency, or lower abdominal pain shows up later, repeat a fresh midstream sample rather than relying on this one.
Health Tips
Please consult your gynaecologist with both reports so they can factor in your full history before ruling anything out completely.
