A general physician, also known as a general practitioner (GP) or primary care physician, is a medical doctor who provides comprehensive, first-contact, and continuing care for patients with any undiagnosed sign, symptom, or health concern.

A dietitian, or more formally a Registered Dietitian (RD), is an expert in dietetics; that is, human nutrition and the regulation of diet. A dietitian advises people on what to eat in order to lead a healthy lifestyle or to achieve a specific health-related goal.
