Visited Dr. Pooja Shukla (Gynecologist) For Pregnancy
Happy with: Doctor friendliness
My second pregnancy was unexpected. Things weren't pretty good at my health side as I was recovering from covid 19 and stomach ulcer hence things were quite uncertain. What made it even more complicated was moving in to a completely new city for me ie Mumbai. Unsure about good medical facility in my nearby area I went to hospital Malad as it was a Maternity specialized hospital. There I met Dr Pooja Shukla and raised all my concern and health issues. She was a very patient with all my queries and she guided me regarding all my health concern. The first time I heard the heart beat of my baby me and my husband both were elated ♥️.But this was not it, continuously juggling from office work to handling pregnancy was getting difficult. In my second trimester I got gestational diabeties, hypertension and severe abdominal pain. Dr Pooja Shukla was always there to constantly guide, gave me best possible medications and was keeping track with multiple sonography just to ensure that both me and the baby is fine. I cannot forget her constant reminder to me that "Shipra for me both the health of baby and you is important". Be it on overnight calls or early morning checkup Dr Pooja Shukla was always there for me. As I reached my third trimester due to hypertension, uncontrollable gestational diabeties I experienced breathlessness even I couldn't feel my baby movements. My heart sank and we panicked. My family immediately contacted Dr Pooja Shukla who was not in the town recommended me to admitted in a near multi-speciality hospital. Within no time she spoke to the doctor's there and arranged everything for me even before I could reach there. I can never forget the day called me at 12 in the night and ask me about health and reiterated that for me it doesn't matter if she does the delivery or the doctor in the other hospital her priority is our safety so that we are out of danger of risking our life. My situation was brought under control and the she was constantly in touch with the doctor's there .Finally after consulting with an endocrinologist her team Dr Pooja Shukla and we decided to go for an elective C section which was still risky as it was only 33 weeks and the baby was still very premature. On 24 February my son Ved was born. 😊♥️It wasn't a easy journey but the constant support and guidance given by Dr Pooja Shukla along with the support of my family both me and my baby was healthy and happy. 😊The post operation care given my hospital was exceptionally good. The hospital rooms were very neat and clean also spacious.Staff was courteous and polite. All facilities including food and medical was good. Both me and my husband would like to thank Dr Pooja Shukla as she provided me the best in class most advanced treatment, she diagnosed my issues properly, was a constant support, her correct guidance brought us out of the risk of losing my baby and her timely tracking of growth of the child and the same time comforting me all the emotional trauma i went through. ♥️ Angels always do not come only in fairy tails but some also come with the white coat saving lives. Thank you Dr Pooja Shukla. 🧑⚕️

1.5 years ago, we visited a few reputed gynaecologists of Mumbai to choose our doctor. We were not yet pregnant. Our pregnancy was going to be "high risk pregnancy" due to a history of late miscarriage at 24 weeks during our previous pregnancy. Having done enough research, our conversations were centred around two topics:
- identifying the cause of our previous pregnancy loss
- understanding the plan of action during this pregnancy (to avoid any mishap)
Not fully satisifed by several renowned gynaecologists, we ended up in the cabin of Dr. Nikhil Datar. And what a fortunate day it was, for we found a doctor who answered all our questions even before we asked them. We were simply listening the entire time. It was evident that he specializes in high-risk pregnancies.
When we left his cabin that day, we were smiling ear to ear, for we knew everything is gonna be fine this time because we had Dr. Datar with us. :-)
Before we started planning again, he got me tested to rule out the causes of earlier miscarriage. Finally, we were down to two - vaginal infection and weak cervix. Both played a crucial role in our pregnancy this time as well.
When we got pregnant, he asked me to be extremely vigilant and raise as many alarms as possible. In his own words, "Feel free to raise 100 alarms. We will address all of them with full rigour. Even if 1 of them is true (rest 99 false) and we are able to address that and avoid a mishap, we would be successful". During the course of pregnancy, I suffered repeatedly from vaginal infections which were effectively managed by Dr. Datar through minimum medications. At 4 months, there was a sudden drop in the cervical length (from 4cm to 3.2cm within a week). Normal course of action in this case is cervical cerclage. But Dr. Datar managed it by putting me on bedrest for 3 months and administering progesterone tablets and injections. At 6 months I was also diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
Given all the complications, we were skeptical of crossing the 36 weeks mark, let alone have a normal delivery.
But miracles do happen! In December 2022, we delivered a healthy baby boy at 38+ weeks through normal vaginal delivery.
Undoubtedly, Dr. Nikhil Datar is the best gynaecologist in whole of Mumbai.
He is so experienced yet grounded, has a plethora of knowledge and very clear and systematic approach. On top of that, he is so jolly that he makes you smile even during the toughest situations. I had a laugh or two even during the last stage of contractions.
No words are sufficient to describe our gratitude for Dr. Nikhil Datar.
P.S.: He is always just a whatsapp text or phone call away!

we visited dr pooja shukla mam in our first trimester of pregnancy when i was on progesterone support after two failed iui ,this was our first successful ivf pregnancy following a laproscopic surgery of grade 4 endometriosis...me coming from a medical background i tried to contact as many seniors as possible to find the right doctor and 2 of them suggested dr Pooja's name.... considering it was a very precious pregnancy for us we wanted to make sure we see a experienced consultant with experience of handling high risk pregnancies and pooja mam was precisely the doctor for it .. during the pregnancy i developed gestational diabetes and polyhydramnios mam managed it on medication without insulin , in 8th month i had to get admitted in emergency twice once due to per vaginal bleeding and second due to dengue fever ..when i messaged her with 104 fever at 4 am mam called me at 5 am first thing when she woke up and asked me to get admitted and took prompt action with the treatment.... not just that despite of me having risk of premature labour mam helped us to carry healthy pregnancy till 38 weeks and we went ahead with a planned LSCS at fullterm without any anxiety...even during delivery there were complications ..i had post partum haemorrhage which could have risked my life but coz of pooja ma'am and her teams prompt action today me and my baby both are doing well. there are very few doctors who go beyond their call of duty to help patients and after seeing 5-6 doctors in my journey of last two years i can definitely say pooja mam is one of them.

This was my first pregnancy. I was not very comfortable about going to a male gynaec as I thought I could be more open and free with a female gynaec. Through references of family and friends, I decided on going to a female gynaec close to my residence.
I came to know about my pregnancy sometime in April, 2020 when the entire world was under LockDown due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. This put restrictions on movement and so we went ahead with the nearest choice.
This being my first pregnancy, I had a lot of questions in my mind for which I was seeking answers. Unfortunately, I did not connect well with the female gynaec that I chose and so my expectations about having a good rapport and friendly interactions did not become reality. I was not at all comfortable and with each visit I was assured I need to change. Also, they allowed only the patient in and so the husband was kept in the dark if he had any questions to ask.
We started looking out for other gynaecs through references. We came across CloudNine Hospital at Malad which had a panel of gynaecs. I thought of going in for a male gynaec (although I could chose a female from the panel) and that's when we thought of first approaching Dr. Nikhil Datar. We had spoken to a couple of our friends / relatives about Dr. Datar.
At CloudNine, one person was allowed with the patient. On our first visit, our first question was about the distance between Borivali and Makar and how that can be handled. Dr. Datar gave us so much comfort that it made our decision easier. We got answers to all our questions and I did not hesitate or shy away even once. He cleared all our doubts through his YouTube videos. I got a pool of information which is what I was seeking.
At every visit, I listed down what qts I had in mind. But I never ever had to ask. It was like he could read my mind. He always encouraged me to excercise at every point and motivated me that I was a fit case for normal delivery.
But as God had it planned for me, I had to do a C Sec. On the D Day in the OT, I couldn't for once make out he is the Dr who was to do my surgery. He was so calm and cool. The qt he asked me drove away all my worries. He said "You look worried to me. Let's play some music of your choice."
I would say a super cool and go-to gynaec which I was looking out for.

Some dreams do take time , but are not impossible…. It’s funny but even at the age of 30 , you can be a girl who is lost , n has no clue about the concept of ovulation 😅 making babies is not so easy, you really need a lot of patience, guidance , support & most importantly faith !!
One day I randomly met Dr @drshweta.social on Instagram chat , random inquiry , since she used to post a lot about woman health , etc …. She promptly replied to me , we exchanged numbers , I booked an appointment, met her within a weeks time , when I met her it didn’t really feel like I am talking to a doctor, she was a true blend of a friend & a professional !! The conversation went in for more than an hour , I cleared so many doubts , gained so much of knowledge, most importantly she asked me to stop stressing n rather work on other aspects of life , explained about diet , exercise etc etc …. Soon after tht I went on a trip totally stress free , travelled , once I got back , I called her to inform her that I am pregnant 😍 met her at cloud 9 hospital, I got to know I was already 6 weeks pregnant, I could hear my baby’s heart beat 🥹 ever since then , she has constantly been in touch on watapp , guiding me throughout my journey , wether it is to help me maintain my weight during pregnancy , or increase my haemoglobin , knowledge about work out , sharing tips for normal delivery , encouraging me to walk ,balance stress etc etc …. What more can u ask for !! She has always been just one call away !! Dr Shweta, Your open and conversational style made me feel comfortable throughout what could have been a scary experience. The care you show in how you treated me meant so much.

June 2022 is when Dr Nikhil delivered our baby girl via C Section and we are glad that we chose Dr Nikhil as our OB-GYN to carry out this procedure.Being first time parents we were unsure of the right doctor, and by doing a bit of research we heard about Dr Nikhil. The general fear that most women have about a male gynecologist was surely something that Dr Nikhil will help you overcome. We never felt uncomfortable with Dr Nikhil during our entire course of the pregnancy. He is an extremely kind and down to earth doctor who is well experienced and has a plethora of knowledge in his field of expertise. Throughout our pregnancy we were guided and assured that everything was going to be Ok. Dr Nikhil understood and explained all our doubts/ queries in lay man's terms so that we as parents were aware of what was going on with our pregnancy and our baby.We were always sceptical of having a c section as the recovery period for us would be longer, and the term 'Surgery' is something that always made us worry about. Dr Nikhil assured us that we would try our best for a normal delivery and only when he was sure that my breech baby wouldn't turn at all were we advised for a c section.During the procedure Dr Nikhil, used his experience and expertise to deliver my baby girl - who was having a double loop of cord around her neck, with the utmost care. We are pleased to say that the procedure was quick and efficient due to Dr Nikhil's years of experience. Post the delivery in the hospital Dr Nikhil visited us daily and checked on us, explaining the post delivery recovery period and precautions that we need to take.We are thankful to Dr Nikhil for all his help and we would definitely recommend him to anyone. We are also grateful to the entire Cloudnine team for their help.

I met Dr. Saloni around 3 year back when I wanted to start planning a family. From the very first visit I was very confident and comfortable talking to her about all my problems and doubts. The most admirable quality of hers is her Positivity and the wide smile she carries throughout, no matter how stressful or busy her schedule is.
I was able to conceive naturally with her guidance within a year and in this process this ensured my body is healthy. Minor but timely correction in my haemoglobin , weight & thyroid really helped.
During my entire pregnancy journey Dr.Saloni was there for my like a rock. She would answer my calls & messages at any time of the day. I had a condition called “Placenta previa” due to which I starting bleeding one night during my 35th week. This episode happened at around 12:30 in the night. Saloni answered my call in the first two rings and looking at my condition she asked me to rush to the hospitals. She reached the hospital before me and ensured that I am admitted as an emergency delivery case as I was heavily bleeding. Her calm and composed natured gave a-lot of confidence to my Family as she ensured everything including the doctors team and the everything in the OT was in place. Within 45 minutes of reaching the hospital, I was blessed with a beautiful Baby Girl !! Both my and Baby were fit and fine- all Thanks to Saloni and her team.
She has a very infectious personality and I adore the way she balances both modern & traditional approach. Her dedication and promptness towards her profession is commendable. I simply Love her and want to Thank her for all that she has done for my and my little one.

Happy with: Wait time
I am a patient with a history of myomectomy, Level 4 endometriosis and ANA therefore conceived through IVF. As if these werent enough I ended up having delivery complications with a ruptured bladder. Dr Pooja Shukla managed all of these with such extreme confidence and grace that today i have my lovely daughter by my side which otherwise wouldnt have been possible.
My journey to my pregnancy started a year back with surgeries for hernia, myomectomy and endometriosis followed by IVF. During this time ive met close to a dozen of OB/GYNs of which some were HOD or they were celebrity doctors that are deemed as the “best” doctors in town as per google but none of them matched up to what Dr. Pooja was capable to do in my case.
I met Dr. Pooja post conceiving through IVF in my 6th month of pregnancy. We ( i and my husband) met her after a lot of research on the internet. So far we always went for doctors with years of experience as I believed experienced doctors would be able to manage my case better but as Dr. Pooja is a high risk case expert and reading the feedback/various cases of her patients we thought of ditching my clause of experience for a change.
And an expert she is! After patiently listening to my entire case she gave us a clear view of the possible challenges and complications ahead of us. She meticulously followed an organised method of elimination to ensure right medicines and care was taken. She was also connected with me everyday since day 1. If ever i missed she would check on me herself! And on the day of delivery i couldnt be more thankful for her eye for detail and judgment on my situation which otherwise would have been dismissed costing us our child.
There are several doctors out there but there are very few who are passionate about being one. Dr. Pooja is one of those few who is a doctor by choice. Her professionalism and empathy especially towards my family through the journey and more so at the time of 3hr-long surgery is something i and my husband will always be grateful for. We now find a friend and a guide in her with whom we would love to be connected for long.

One of my friend suggested Dr. Saloni and boy, she vouched for her!! I met her and every word she told was true!! Now even I vouch for her :) Dr. Saloni is really nice.. a great doctor and an awesome person. I trust her the most, not just for myself but even for my baby. I know she will do the best for us!! You hardly come across such doctors who care for your well-being so much during the course and even after! *** ** *** ***** We (me and my husband) are so blessed to have her in our lives.
I reached out to her for my first pregnancy. Had a couple of issues - (gestational diabetes, thyroid).. she handled the journey so beautifully. She made me super comfortable. Just in couple of visits, I knew I was in safe hands.
My baby was born in April end amidst all the corona scare. She was the most understanding, reachable and supportive doctor, I have ever come across. What I loved was, she reaches out to you even before you do, to ensure your well-being. Just before the lockdown, she called me and asked to come for a quick check up (35 weeks pregnant) as later it would be difficult. Throughout she proactively checked on me to ensure my well-being and continues to do it even today after my baby is 3 months old. She was always reachable and I was very confident that she is just a call away and incase of anything she will take care of it.
My delivery was also smooth.. she encouraged me for a normal delivery and because of her I had confidence to go thru it and is blessed with a healthy baby girl.
On the fifth day of birth, my baby looked quite yellow. It was a Saturday evening. We reached out to the peadiatrician, no response. We were worried and reached out to Dr. Saloni. She asked us to come to her hospital (we had the delivery in another clinic) and she will have peadiatrician on call check her on Sunday. My baby had extremely high bilirubin levels and had to be hospitalised immediately. Thanks to Dr. Saloni, my baby was treated immediately. If my baby was not checked then, it would have got very complicated. It scares me to even think about that. We will forever be grateful to her for that!! Always!! You hardly come across doctors who care for you so much!
Thank you so much Dr. Saloni!! We are blessed :)
