1.5 years ago, we visited a few reputed gynaecologists of Mumbai to choose our doctor. We were not yet pregnant. Our pregnancy was going to be "high risk pregnancy" due to a history of late miscarriage at 24 weeks during our previous pregnancy. Having done enough research, our conversations were centred around two topics:

- identifying the cause of our previous pregnancy loss

- understanding the plan of action during this pregnancy (to avoid any mishap)

Not fully satisifed by several renowned gynaecologists, we ended up in the cabin of Dr. Nikhil Datar. And what a fortunate day it was, for we found a doctor who answered all our questions even before we asked them. We were simply listening the entire time. It was evident that he specializes in high-risk pregnancies.

When we left his cabin that day, we were smiling ear to ear, for we knew everything is gonna be fine this time because we had Dr. Datar with us. :-)

Before we started planning again, he got me tested to rule out the causes of earlier miscarriage. Finally, we were down to two - vaginal infection and weak cervix. Both played a crucial role in our pregnancy this time as well.

When we got pregnant, he asked me to be extremely vigilant and raise as many alarms as possible. In his own words, "Feel free to raise 100 alarms. We will address all of them with full rigour. Even if 1 of them is true (rest 99 false) and we are able to address that and avoid a mishap, we would be successful". During the course of pregnancy, I suffered repeatedly from vaginal infections which were effectively managed by Dr. Datar through minimum medications. At 4 months, there was a sudden drop in the cervical length (from 4cm to 3.2cm within a week). Normal course of action in this case is cervical cerclage. But Dr. Datar managed it by putting me on bedrest for 3 months and administering progesterone tablets and injections. At 6 months I was also diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

Given all the complications, we were skeptical of crossing the 36 weeks mark, let alone have a normal delivery.

But miracles do happen! In December 2022, we delivered a healthy baby boy at 38+ weeks through normal vaginal delivery.

Undoubtedly, Dr. Nikhil Datar is the best gynaecologist in whole of Mumbai.

He is so experienced yet grounded, has a plethora of knowledge and very clear and systematic approach. On top of that, he is so jolly that he makes you smile even during the toughest situations. I had a laugh or two even during the last stage of contractions.

No words are sufficient to describe our gratitude for Dr. Nikhil Datar.

Words truly fall short to express our gratitude for everything she has done for us. From the very beginning till the safe delivery of our baby girl, her compassion, personal touch, and constant concern gave us immense strength and confidence throughout this journey.My wife had a severe contraction as early as the 27th week, but with her perfect guidance, continuous support, and timely interventions, we were able to manage the situation safely and reach the 37th week. She not only treated and guided us professionally and medically throughout the entire pregnancy period, but also lifted us mentally and psychologically, helping us overcome every hurdle with confidence and positivity.She was always available on WhatsApp or calls whenever needed, without even a single instance of delayed response. Most of the time, her replies came within minutes, sometimes even seconds, which truly reflects her extraordinary commitment to professionalism combined with humanity.On the night of delivery, the way she patiently guided us till we reached the hospital, personally monitored every development, and kept us continuously informed throughout the night reflects not just her medical excellence, but her deep sense of responsibility and care. The way she repeatedly called and checked on our situation while we were travelling from home to the hospital on the night of delivery was simply heart-touching. We genuinely felt as if we were under the care, guidance, and emotional support of a close family member.Honestly, it felt that she was even more stressed and emotionally invested than us that night, ensuring that our baby arrived safely into this world. That level of involvement and concern is something we can never forget.We truly believe that it was her divine hand on us and on our baby that made this entire journey so safe, reassuring, and blessed. After 35 days of my delivery, when my immunity was still low, I suddenly developed severe stomach pain, vomiting, and was diagnosed with jaundice. Even though this was not a gynecological complication, the first person I reached out to, out of faith and complete trust was Dr. Shweta Shah, who had ensured a smooth and safe delivery for me just a month earlier. She immediately guided me over the phone, but, my condition worsened and I had to be admitted to the hospital. She continued to support me throughout, without a moment’s hesitation.

What touched us deeply was that even though my treatment was under a physician and not related to her specialty, Dr. Shweta stayed in constant touch with him, reviewed my reports directly, and even followed up with the lab herself for faster updates. She was not supposed to do any of this, yet she did, purely out of concern and humanity.

Her selflessness, her commitment to her profession, and the deep human connection she builds with her patients truly do not end here.

The moment that truly broke me was when the physician told me not to breastfeed my one-month-old baby for at least a month. As a new mother recovering from illness, this caused real emotional trauma. In that vulnerable moment, the only person I felt I could rely on was Dr. Shweta. Without me even asking, she took the time, despite her extremely busy schedule, to consult her colleagues, re-evaluate my reports, medications and call me personally to guide me on breastfeeding. She reassured me, helped me understand the situation clearly, and supported me like a trusted partner, just as she has done for the last one and half year since the beginning of our pre-pregnancy journey.

In a city like Mumbai, where every second matters, an extremely busy and highly accomplished gynaecologist of such stature still spared her precious time for us, even when my medical issue was not related to her. This speaks volumes about her unmatched professionalism, her compassion, and her extraordinary dedication to her patients.

My second pregnancy was unexpected. Things weren't pretty good at my health side as I was recovering from covid 19 and stomach ulcer hence things were quite uncertain. What made it even more complicated was moving in to a completely new city for me ie Mumbai. Unsure about good medical facility in my nearby area I went to hospital Malad as it was a Maternity specialized hospital.There I met Dr Pooja Shukla and raised all my concern and health issues. She was a very patient with all my queries and she guided me regarding all my health concern.The first time I heard the heart beat of my baby me and my husband both were elated ♥️.But this was not it, continuously juggling from office work to handling pregnancy was getting difficult. In my second trimester I got gestational diabeties, hypertension and severe abdominal pain. Dr Pooja Shukla was always there to constantly guide, gave me best possible medications and was keeping track with multiple sonography just to ensure that both me and the baby is fine. I cannot forget her constant reminder to me that "Shipra for me both the health of baby and you is important". Be it on overnight calls or early morning checkup Dr Pooja Shukla was always there for me. As I reached my third trimester due to hypertension, uncontrollable gestational diabeties I experienced breathlessness even I couldn't feel my baby movements. My heart sank and we panicked. My family immediately contacted Dr Pooja Shukla who was not in the town recommended me to admitted in a near multi-speciality hospital. Within no time she spoke to the doctor's there and arranged everything for me even before I could reach there. I can never forget the day called me at 12 in the night and ask me about health and reiterated that for me it doesn't matter if she does the delivery or the doctor in the other hospital her priority is our safety so that we are out of danger of risking our life. My situation was brought under control and the she was constantly in touch with the doctor's there .Finally after consulting with an endocrinologist her team Dr Pooja Shukla and we decided to go for an elective C section which was still risky as it was only 33 weeks and the baby was still very premature. On 24 February my son Ved was born. 😊♥️It wasn't a easy journey but the constant support and guidance given by Dr Pooja Shukla along with the support of my family both me and my baby was healthy and happy. 😊The post operation care given my hospital was exceptionally good. The hospital rooms were very neat and clean also spacious.Staff was courteous and polite. All facilities including food and medical was good. Both me and my husband would like to thank Dr Pooja Shukla as she provided me the best in class most advanced treatment, she diagnosed my issues properly, was a constant support, her correct guidance brought us out of the risk of losing my baby and her timely tracking of growth of the child and the same time comforting me all the emotional trauma i went through. ♥️ Angels always do not come only in fairy tails but some also come with the white coat saving lives. I visited Dr Pooja at the start of second trimester of my pregnancy. Before this, I had seen doctors at reputed hospitals in Mumbai, and can say that she's one of the best gynaecologist in the city that you can find. Pregnancy is not an easy journey, specially when you have complications involved. It's not just her medical advice, but also her counsel and support, which I received from Dr Pooja. Every time I visited her, I came back home with a smile and affirmation of me and my baby being healthy and in safe hands. She was always there to respond to my queries. I had two episodes of bleeding in my first trimester, running across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai consulting different Gynaecs. It was Dr Pooja who figured out the exact cause. I felt a personal care in medication provided by her. When I was put on a daily dose of injection Lonopin, I was scared initially, but she took all care and effort to make me understand reason behind my medication. She never takes queries on her ego, rather gives a definite medical reason behind everything. Among other things, one thing which stood out was that she took complete care and responsibility for the well being of her patient, taking calculated calls based on advice of different specialised medical practitioners. I also had an episode of rheumatoid arthritis where she made sure that the medication I was advised is safe for the baby, even though I was consulting a rheumatologist at the same time. At present I trust her to an extent, that even post delivery, I do not take any medication until confirmed by her. She has cared for me like a doctor and counselled me like a family. A very empathetic person, something that a patient in pain expects from her doctor, and really justifies the job she is in.

One of my friend suggested Dr. Saloni and boy, she vouched for her!! I met her and every word she told was true!! Now even I vouch for her :) Dr. Saloni is really nice.. a great doctor and an awesome person. I trust her the most, not just for myself but even for my baby. I know she will do the best for us!! You hardly come across such doctors who care for your well-being so much during the course and even after! *** ** *** ***** We (me and my husband) are so blessed to have her in our lives.

I reached out to her for my first pregnancy. Had a couple of issues - (gestational diabetes, thyroid).. she handled the journey so beautifully. She made me super comfortable. Just in couple of visits, I knew I was in safe hands.

My baby was born in April end amidst all the corona scare. She was the most understanding, reachable and supportive doctor, I have ever come across. What I loved was, she reaches out to you even before you do, to ensure your well-being. Just before the lockdown, she called me and asked to come for a quick check up (35 weeks pregnant) as later it would be difficult. Throughout she proactively checked on me to ensure my well-being and continues to do it even today after my baby is 3 months old. She was always reachable and I was very confident that she is just a call away and incase of anything she will take care of it.

My delivery was also smooth.. she encouraged me for a normal delivery and because of her I had confidence to go thru it and is blessed with a healthy baby girl.

On the fifth day of birth, my baby looked quite yellow. It was a Saturday evening. We reached out to the peadiatrician, no response. We were worried and reached out to Dr. Saloni. She asked us to come to her hospital (we had the delivery in another clinic) and she will have peadiatrician on call check her on Sunday. My baby had extremely high bilirubin levels and had to be hospitalised immediately. Thanks to Dr. Saloni, my baby was treated immediately. If my baby was not checked then, it would have got very complicated. It scares me to even think about that. We will forever be grateful to her for that!! Always!! You hardly come across doctors who care for you so much!

My husband and I started visiting Dr. Pooja Shukla from day 1 of my pregnancy confirmation and what a wonderful experience it has been since then! I have been looking for a good gynaecologist in Mumbai since the past 5 years and have been struggling to find one who is empathetic, a listener and gives you ample time to address all your concerns etc. Thanks to my pregnancy, we happened to visit Cloudnine and we were referred to her by a friend. And honestly, my pregnancy felt like a breeze with her support and consultations. Dr. Datar is nothing short of a super fantastic guide and doctor. We are immensely grateful to him for being the guiding light during a pivotal phase of our lives, culminating in the greatest gift we've ever received – our sweet baby boy.

Our journey with Dr. Datar began during the third month of my wife's pregnancy, shrouded in anxiety about what lay ahead. Our path was far from smooth, riddled with numerous challenges. Upon completion of 6 month of pregnancy, in the scan fetal growth restriction due to absent end diastolic flow in umbilical artery came to light. Dr Datar managed the situation with great expertise and after some time when the diastolic flow in umbilical artery was reversed, he put my wife under continuous observation and personally monitored the condition of my wife and baby to be born. As soon as he sensed the activity of the baby was not satisfactory, without waiting further he delivered the baby preterm at 30.2 weeks. Now after being in continuous observation in NICU for 44 days the baby got discharged and is with us like a normal child.
