Dengue is a viral infection spread by the female Andes mosquito while Malaria gets it roots from the parasite Plasmodium. Both the diseases can severely affect the immunity of a person and cause extended discomfort.

While Dengue and Malaria are two entirely different diseases, some of the symptoms are similar in both of them. They are:

  • Prolonged headaches
  • Weakness
  • Muscle and back pain
  • Nausea
  • Fever
  • Diarrhoea
  • Coughing
  • Fatigue

Given that so many of the symptoms are similar, it is sometimes difficult to tell between the two. Wrong medication can prove to be lethal.

It is also important to report these symptoms to the Doctor before taking up any self-medication. There can be same symptoms for different illnesses even in the same person so never take medicines other than the ones prescribed by professionals.
