Introduction: Hair loss affects millions of women around the world, and around half of men would lose their hair by the age of 50. The most common type of hair loss among men is male pattern baldness called and rogeneticalopecia. For women, the most common triggers are hormonal (pregnancy, menopause, thyroid disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome) or hereditary, but autoimmune conditions and nutritional deficiencies are also common. And unlike men, women tend to lose hair gradually and all over the head, so it can take longer to detect. Women don’t get hair line recession but widening of the hair parting.

Treatments for hair loss: Being such multifactorial in causes, there is no one magical treatment that can treat the hair loss in all causes. Most of today's medicines for treating hair loss have limited effectiveness. Currently, we don't have a complete understanding of exactly why certain diseases cause hair loss. In many cases, we treat the symptoms, but not the causes of diseases. And often our ability to treat symptoms has limited effectiveness. For many sufferers, it destroys confidence and is a major cause of stress and depression.

Cutis Philosophy: At Cutis, we respect client first. We understand your needs and strive hard to get the best and latest  technology from all over the world to your doorstep. Right from the blood tests to nutritional counseling, we guide our patients at each step and make them understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle. However the treatment options are depending on the severity of the hair loss. These are:

Peptide Hair Spray: This is plant based Italian technology that is available as 30 ml spray bottles and contains a mix of peptides as well as growth factors which activate the hair root cells in the hair follicle and strengthen the existing hair follicles. This should usually be sprayed on the front and side of scalp (not on back) twice a week and left overnight. Next morning shampoo must be used.

Cost: 1350 INR for 30ml spray

Hair supplement: Lets face it. We cant eat all that our hair needs in the food on a daily basis, more so if you are a vegetarian. So it is wise to pop a hair supplement that contains all the essential nutrients that are needed for your crowning glory.

Hair Induction: Depending on the extent of hair damage and the hormonal and nutritional deficiency, sometimes hair needs more than just topical medications and hair supplements. At Cutis we have the hair Induction programme that is a specially designed 6 weeks treatment done once in a week for 6 weeks.

What is it? After forming PRP ( platelet rich plasma) from the patients own blood it is mixed with growth factors and infused into the scalp at the level of the hair roots with the help of a laser. This ensures a better targeted delivery of the active molecules resulting in faster and effective action. The results are seen in 3-4 weeks with small sprouts of hair seen growing out in both men and women.

Cost: 8000 per session.

Hair stem cell injections: These are plant based botanical stem cells that are very effective in mild to moderate balding and hair loss. The stem cells are penetrated into the scalp using a painless technology and usually 6-8 sessions may be needed to get optimum results.

Cost: 5000 per session

Hair growth Laser: These are low level lasers that are used in the form of a laser cap and that stimulate the hair roots into the active stage. Prior to using the laser , the scalp is cleansed and a stimulating lotion is applied on the hair root. Each session lasts 20-25 minutes and is totally relaxing and painless. In severe cases this laser session can also be combined with hair induction or hair stem cell programme to accelerate the results.

Cost : 4200 per session.
