1. IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD:

You may be feeling really bad right now, but remember, THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

2. GET SOME “ME” TIME

As difficult as that may sound, getting some time to rediscover yourself is always good. It helps grow your self-worth and self-esteem. Re-discover your old hobbies.

3. UNPLUG FROM SOCIAL MEDIA – DO NOT STALK ON SOCIAL MEDIA:

This one is very important. With all the social media, avoid stalking your ex and seeing what they are up to, who they are with, what their relationship status is. Better yet, avoid social media altogether for a few days.

4. TAKE YOUR TIME, DON’T BE HASTY TO JUMP INTO ANOTHER RELATION:

This is a cardinal rule. Moving on too quickly may lead to some unresolved issues.

5. TALK TO SOMEONE:

Talk about your feelings to your friends, sibling and parents.

6. GO OUT:

Don’t stop socialising just because you are single. Ladies, enjoy some time with your girlfriends. Guys, hang out with your buddies like the old times.

7. DE-CLUTTER:

Box up the reminders of your “EX”. Constantly being reminded of them is not healthy.

8. BE SURE OF YOURSELF:

Be "self-convinced" that you wish to “Move on”. No amount of convincing from someone else will help. Going back and forth out of a bad relationship is far more hurtful than being single.

9. AVOID SAD ROMANTIC MUSIC, MOVIES, STORIES:

Again, as pleasing it may sound to find peace in the pain of others in the sad songs and books, it may trigger more sadness. Try forcing yourself to listen to upbeat happy music.

10. EXERCISE, YOGA, KICK-BOXING:

There is no stress buster like Tough love. Sweat it out. The endorphins released from exercising will evoke happiness.

DON’T WORRY, BE HAPPY.

Forget about who left whom. It is over. The best is yet to come.
