Weight loss
I am suffering from diabetes for last 12 years and my weight is 112 kgs. I'm taking regular medication of diabetes. I want to start oempic. How do I go ahead with it? My earlier doctor once suggested me. But now I am transferred to Mumbai and before starting I want to consult a doctor.

Semaglutide (Ozempic) is commonly used in long-standing type 2 diabetes to help with both blood sugar control and weight loss, and someone in your situation can often suit it. But starting safely means checking your current diabetes medicines, kidney function, and any personal or family history of thyroid tumours or pancreatitis first.
Next Steps
Please see a diabetologist or endocrinologist in Mumbai before starting, carrying your past diabetes reports and your earlier doctor's notes, so they can set the right dose and adjust your other medicines alongside it.
Health Tips
Don't start it on your own just on an old recommendation, since your current dose and monitoring need to be set by the doctor seeing you now.
