UTI medication required
Hello Doctor, Having UTI from yesterday. How to treat it? Symptoms like pain during passing urine and abdomen pain. Dark yellow urine sometimes. Any medication or antibiotics. No fever. Unpleasant smell and tiredness.

Antibiotics for uncomplicated UTI is indicated after getting the urine analysis -routine and culture and sensitivity.For the pain you can take analgesics like ibuprofen and urispas 200 mg twice daily for few days plus urine alkaliniser powder.Drink plenty of water

Do not worry ...take ors liquid and plenty of water . Syp. Alkasol 15ml TDS with in 1 glass of water . Do test urine r/m and c/s . Send reports us for best consultation.

If you are taking less water then it may be dehydration. Take plenty of oral fluids. If symptoms persists then do 1.Urine routine with culture & sensitivity 2.Ultrasound abdomen & pelvis. Don’t start antibiotics over the counter before giving tests , since the result of culture can be altered.
