Hello. Klebsiella pneumoniae infections can sometimes take longer to show clinical resolution, or the urinary frequency could be due to persistent bladder inflammation (cystitis) even after the bacteria are cleared. Since you do not have fever or burning, isolated urinary frequency can also stem from non-infectious causes or incomplete eradication of the bacteria. Medical Considerations & Adjustments: 1)Complete the Antibiotic Course: Ensure you finish the full prescribed course of Moxclav 625 as per your sensitivity report, even if symptoms persist. Do not stop midway. 2)Urine Alkalinizer (e.g., Syrup Cital / Alkamax): 2 teaspoons in a glass of water twice or thrice daily for 3–5 days. This helps soothe the irritated bladder lining and reduces the urge to urinate frequently. 3)Antispasmodic (if frequency/urgency is bothersome): Tab. Flavoxate 200 mg (or Solifenacin)twice daily for 3–5 days can help relax the bladder muscles and reduce frequent urinary urgency
Next Steps
1)Repeat Urine Culture & Sensitivity (RE-CULTURE): 48 to 72 hours after completing your antibiotic course, get a repeat urine routine and culture test done to confirm that the Klebsiella infection has been completely cleared. 2)Evaluate Non-Infectious Causes: If the urine culture comes back sterile (negative for bacteria) but frequency persists, consider getting evaluated for non-bacterial causes such as Overactive Bladder (OAB) or Diabetes (check fasting blood sugar / HbA1c) . 3)Urologist Consultation: If frequency continues to bother you despite finishing treatment and clear urine reports, schedule a consultation with a Urologist for further evaluation (such as an Ultrasound KUB to check post-void residual urine volume)
Health Tips
1)Hydration: Drink 2.5 to 3 liters of water daily to flush out the urinary tract, but avoid drinking excessive fluids right before bedtime. 2)Bladder Irritants: Avoid caffeine (coffee/tea), carbonated drinks, artificial sweeteners, alcohol, and very spicy foods, as these directly irritate the bladder lining and increase frequency. 3)Urination Habits: Do not hold urine for long periods. Try double voiding (urinating, waiting a minute, and trying again) to ensure complete bladder emptying. Hygiene: Maintain good perineal hygiene and wear breathable cotton underwear.

It would have been great if you have posted urine culture and sensitivity report. That actually helps to finalize which antibiotic suits you..... Moxclav 625mg is a good drug. If you have taken complete course of antibiotics without fail, it will definitely heal UTI. Klebsiella pneumoniae can cause a urinary tract infection (UTI) when bacteria from the gut enter the urinary tract, often linked to hospital stays, catheters, or weak immune systems, and it requires a urine test and targeted prescription antibiotics due to possible drug resistance. Uncomplicated Cases: Susceptible strains may be treated with targeted oral agents like nitrofurantoin, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, or fosfomycin. Complicated or Resistant Strains: Extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) or multidrug-resistant strains often require carbapenems (such as meropenem or ertapenem) or aminoglycosides (such as amikacin)

Don't worry, sir. Since you've only started the antibiotic 1–2 days ago, it may take a little more time for your symptoms to improve. Burning during urination usually starts to decrease within 24–48 hours, while urinary frequency may take about 3–7 days to improve as the infection gradually subsides. If you still don't notice any improvement in your symptoms after that, or if they get worse, you should consult a nearby urologist for further evaluation.

Frequency alone continuing after your antibiotic course is done still needs a look, even without fever or burning. A follow-up urine culture with your prescribing doctor will confirm whether the infection has actually cleared.

Yes—urinary frequency can persist even when the antibiotic is appropriate, and the absence of burning or fever does not necessarily exclude a UTI. However, if frequency is the only symptom and it is not improving, it is worth reassessing whether the Klebsiella infection is actually the cause of the symptom.
Next Steps
don't change the antibiotic without repeating culture test
