I recently had Vitamin D & B12 deficiency, after taking supplements, both are now in normal range. But leg pain is still there (especially during squats),  gas during evening (sometimes), foul taste of mouth, little bit burning sensation acid. What can be the reasons for these symptoms? Is it Iron/Magnesium deficiency?

1st of all routine intake of vitamin d  is not recommend, unless until there is some proper clinical symptoms or risk factors as per large trials, stop chasing Micronutrients,

Musculoskeletal pain (Leg pain during squats) Could be postural/strain from exercise (quad/hamstring DOMS, patellofemoral stress, etc.) Persistent pain despite normal Vit D/B12 → consider magnesium deficiency (muscle cramps) or electrolyte imbalance. Less likely iron deficiency (usually → fatigue, pallor, not local pain). 2. GI complaints (Gas, foul taste, acid burning) Likely Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)/gastritis. Could be aggravated by supplements (iron, calcium, Vit D sometimes irritate stomach). Foul taste = acid reflux. --- ✅ Plan Investigations (if not done recently): Serum Iron, Ferritin, TIBC Serum Magnesium, Calcium, Phosphate LFT, RFT (if chronic symptoms) Rx (Symptomatic management) Tab. I think acid reflux, leg pain might be unrelated, but leg pain might be mostly due to exercise related rather than electrolyte issues ( electrolyte can happen if u overexert)

Just keep a check on your vit b12 and d levels thats good and important! You might be having general acidity problems dont take antacids casually or without prescription it interferes with vitb12 absorption if taken in long run unsupervised And during squats if pain comes might be a muscle pull take rest for couple of days

Hi. I understand your symptoms of burning sensation, foul taste of mouth and gas are bothering you. I would like to know what is your daily diet? Also is there a major stress factor in your life currently. Your complaints are very similar to Gastro esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) To answer your question specifically, iron and magnesium deficiency donot cause such symptoms specifically. I would advice a trial of Tab Esomeprazole - 1 tab - once daily before breakfast for 7 days. If your symptoms are relieved plz continue the above drug at the same dose for a total of 1 month. If your symptoms are not releived by the above drug plz consult a doctor. You might need an endoscopy done.

Pain after squats is normal.... It depends on rep u do... If the reps are more then u will have pain tat is normal . If the pain persist for more than two days then it might be due 1.dehydration 2.excessive workout 3.other supplement like creatinine requires more water intake 4.lack of sleep 5.more physical activity If everything is good...then u should take muscle relaxant like T.CIPZEN FORTE 10MG Two times a day... It will reduce cramps ,pain , improve recovery.. But u should take more water... Even if it persist then consult the doc and do serum magnesium and sodium levels and do further evaluation... Could be deficiency of magnesium and some dyspepsia. Take paracetamol 500mg ,if pain is more. Tab antoxid one morning and one evening for 30days. Tab shelcal m one morning and one evening for 15 days. Meanwhile get serum magnesium done. Take small frequent meals with more of fresh vegetables and fruits,  particularly papaya. Drink more water. Avoid heavy, spicy food, excess of tea, coffee, avoid alcohol in any quantity. Tab pantaprazole 40mg one daily before breakfast for 15 days.

Most probable can be electrolytes deficiency If the leg pain still continues do Doppler to rule out any vascular conditions(mostly not required).Try and maintain a diary of foods that cause burning sensation and foul breathe.Mostly it could GERD Can be sorted out by altering your diet
