I had an accident wherein my humorous bone was fractured and had to get a metal implant to fix it.
Post surgery, I have been zero intolerance to spices whereas I had been a spicy food lover all my life. Is it normal?

It can be due to medications you are on after surgery. It will go away with time.Till then you can try PPI drugs to control acidity and try avoiding spicy food for a while
It has nothing to do with your bone injury or the treatment thereof.
I suppose you may regain your affiliation for spicy food as it happened during Corona time when many people lost their sense of smell or taste.

Must be gut dysfunctioning notably inflammation post antibiotics use in surgical treatment.
On surface these may seem trivial issues but practically they point towards deeper health issues
After surgery, some people may experience spice intolerance due to gastrointestinal sensitivity, medications, dietary changes, stress, and inflammation, and can manage it by avoiding or reducing spicy foods, choosing mild options, and gradually reintroducing spices.
Just after surgery the body's stress response increases and increased sympathetic outflow can cause intolerance to spicy food
Try increasing roughage in diet
Plus post surgery medication side effects might cause these problems

It's not uncommon to develop food intolerances or changes in taste perception after surgery, especially due to certain medications. Post-surgical antibiotics, painkillers, and anti-inflammatory medications can disrupt the gut microbiome or irritate the stomach lining, leading to gastritis or altered digestion. This could explain your newfound intolerance to spicy foods. Medications like antibiotics also influence the balance of gut flora, which might temporarily affect your ability to handle spices. In some cases, it could be related to postoperative stress or hormonal changes as well.
It would be beneficial to try avoiding spicy food for a few weeks, focus on a bland diet to allow your gastrointestinal system to recover, and consider using a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) if symptoms like acidity persist. If the issue continues, a consultation with a gastroenterologist might be helpful to assess for any underlying conditions like gastritis or dysbiosis that may need further management.
I think,it's because of antibiotics and pain medications u had during that operation, it's had caused gastritis, kindly give details about ur medication and do tell if u had symptoms of gas, acidity, nausea
