Will it be valid?
I am 34 weeks pregnant and I had my OGTT 75 gm glucose test and at the same time my urine sample was collected and I don't know why the specimen collector told me to uncapped the urine sample and keep it on the table. And I wasn't aware so I kept it uncapped as he said. So if he kept that sample opened for a while or more will my urine test report will be valid? Or if it was my mistake due to miscommunication...isn't it's the specimen collector's responsibility to call me and tell me or scold me that the urine sample will not be valid and so I have to re do it?? Or should he do the urine test carelessly?

They just capped bad smell of urine
And it’s lab staff responsibility to explain everything to patient
If needed any microscopic or cultural investigation kindly gave sample again

Keeping a urine sample uncapped for some time does not automatically mean that the test result will be invalid. However, prolonged exposure can increase the risk of contamination and may affect some urine parameters. The impact depends on which urine test was requested and how long the sample remained open before processing.

Urine sample is collected in a sterile container.You have to tightly close it once urine is collected. Otherwise it can get contaminated and show false positive results

Your urine sample kept open has a high chances of contamination. So it will be better to call the lab and ask them if you need to repeat the test or not and how long was it kept open.

An uncapped urine sample kept at room temperature can get contaminated and may not give a reliable report, especially after a delay. Please call the laboratory and tell them how long it remained open; they may advise repeating a fresh clean-catch sample. Take Balanced diet which is mentioned below,
1/3 of food plate should contain bread ( or 4 roti ), pasta, potato and rice.
1/3 of food plate should contain fruits and vegetables.
1/9 of food plate should contain fish, meat, egg, beans and other non dairy sources of protein.
1/9 of food plate should contain milk and dairy foods.
1/9 of food plate should contain food and drink high in fat and/ or sugar.

Please do not worry—leaving the urine container briefly uncapped will not affect your main blood glucose (OGTT) results or basic urine checks like protein and sugar.

The chances of getting a false positive test is more in your case, as the urine sample might get contamination if kept open for prolong hours. If it's for a little time than there won't be a problem.
