I've been unusually sleepy and fatigued, I've gained abdominal weight and my clothes have gone from S/M to L, my waist increased from 30 to 32 inches, and I don't feel energetic.
Also, shortness of breath if I do any activities, i mean any work or sweeping, also I get dizziness sometime. Bloating and takes lot of time to digest. Feels like I want to sleep all the time. I get 3 days periods only, nowadays. I used to have 7 days period. I don't know what issues I'm facing internally. But I know I'm not feeling well.

Next Steps
feel free to consult me on practo for further evaluation and management
I understand your concern. Persistent sleepiness, abdominal weight gain, bloating and change in periods need evaluation for thyroid problems, anemia, blood sugar issues and PCOS; dizziness also needs checking. I would not ignore these symptoms or self-medicate. Please consult me through Practo or visit Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj for an examination and appropriate tests.
Next Steps
Please arrange a consultation within the next few days. I will review your menstrual history and examine you, then decide tests such as CBC, TSH, blood sugar and other hormonal tests if needed.
Your shorter periods along with tiredness, weight gain, and breathlessness on exertion could point to a hormonal or thyroid-related cause. This combination needs blood work to understand what's driving it.
Next Steps
Ask your doctor for a thyroid function test and a basic blood workup along with a gynaecology review for the period change.
Health Tips
Please don't ignore the breathlessness and dizziness, get them checked soon rather than waiting.
Hello
You need a proper clinical evaluation rather than simply reassurance or empiric vitamins. The combination of fatigue, exertional dyspnea, dizziness, weight/waist gain, digestive symptoms and a change in menstrual pattern has several possible causes. Thyroid dysfunction, for example, can present with tiredness, weight change, menstrual abnormalities, breathlessness and bowel symptoms, but these symptoms are nonspecific
Do consult for better evaluation and treatment plan
Most probably you are having hypothyroidism because in this condition you get such symptoms like lethargy, weight gain, reduced menstruation time etc.
Or it can be any nutritional deficiency like b12 or iron deficiency
Next Steps
go to any lab and get your thyroid profile and b 12 level and cbc get done
Health Tips
eat food rich in in vitamins like fruits and vegetables and do some physical activity
I think you can do initial test like CBC and TSH and free T4 evaluating for hypothyroidism to differentiate some basic and common disease then next investigation based on these result
It seems you are gaining weight, you are getting easily fatigue, increased sleepiness and irregular cycles.
Thses symptoms may be associated with thyroid hormone issues or PCOD
Next Steps
so I suggest checking basic blood routine, thyroid function test and lipid profile
Hi,
Your symptoms point towards hormonal imbalance...these could be due to thyroid dysfunction or pcod. Get your TFT done and get it checked by your doc on practo.
Next Steps
Get TFT done.
