Slip disc issue
Hey i injured my back a year back and am unable to hit the gym for some obvious reasons. But i was wondering if it is possible with the help of a chiropractor that my slip disc is completely treated. I do not have an mri as i have claustrophobia. Do you think it's that important to get an mri? Current situation is that can lift normal thinhs easily but i try not to lift things heavier than 8 kgs.. i can bend my knees and touch it to my chest. Any advice would be helpful

Avoid bending to the front, do not lift heavy weight at least till the pain ends. Mobilization will help . For pain relief take hot packs twice or thrice a day.

As you have claustrophobia, there is no need for MRI, through xray also the level of disc can also be known. anyways you actually needs physical diagnosis for the issue you are suffering with. Visit nearest physiotherapy clinic and take rpoper treatment. avoid bending lifting of heavy objects, prolonged standing.

A good examination by a physiotherapist would give a fair idea of the origin of your symptoms. End of range quick thrust is to be expected from a chiropractor. A manual therapist looks to do mobilization of the stiff areas. However nothing can replace a good exercise program.
Next Steps
visit a physiotherapist
