Severe Vitamin Deficiency
I recently took a blood test and the Vitamin D 25 OH level is - 5.6 ng/ml. I checked online and it stated this is categorized as sebere deficiency. How should I proceed to bring it back up at optimum level.

Sunlight exposure brst options to improve vit d levels..and along u can start vit d fortified foos.or star orange, mushrooms,grain, fish, eggs, or start vit d supplements for quick results. Befor following any thing please consult personally with dietician or doctor. Thanks you.

You vitamin d is low . You need to improve your vitamin d level. Eat orange  to improve vitamin d . You need to get some sunlight to improve vitamin d level.

Hi The best and simplest way to increase your serum vit D is exposure to sun preferably early morning sunlight ( 6 to 8 pm) this will be a precursor for vit D production in the body at the same time avoiding the harmful effects of the uv rays from the sun. Since your vit D is very low But D supplementation of 60,000IU once a week for two months need to be followed Eating milk and milk products esp paneer and cheese may improve your vit D levels in your body.

add vit d rich foods in your diet. like fish oil,egg yolk,chesse ,yougart etc. consult with a doctor for oral medicine. and every day stand under sunlight for 1 hour

Hi Please talk to your doctor and start taking vitamin D supplements immediately. Get 10-15 minutes of sunlight exposure everyday. If you eat animal foods include eggs and fish as well.
