Right knee pain
My right knee isnlaining since there weeks..I under went treatment and found that there is small tear in the ACL..It is panining a lot now..could you suggest what would be the solution to get out of pain

Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Dear friend,your Acl tear is non significant if you do not have symptoms of instability.please get assessment by a knee surgeon for concomitant meniscus or chondral injury.regards dr pankaj Agrawal Shoulder Knee & joints reconstruction surgeon Ahmedabad

There is no substitute to rest at this hour. Rest rest rest. Take some pain killers and apply ice. Think about strengthening , rehab or anything only once out of pain, obviously.

Isolated ACL tears are not quite painful unless there is concomitant injury to other structures. Immobilise the knee with brace or plaster, take painkillers as advised reduce pain and swelling till required

Be on NSAIDs for three weeks with focused Hamstring strengthing will resolve your problem in 3-6 wks.

Avoid prolong sitting in one position. Dont walk too long. Use knee cap as a sapport during walk. Discuss to physio for proper rehab.

Hello there.... have you done MRI of your knees? Well if it is only a partial tear of the ACL it can be managed without surgical intervention....you can visit any musculoskeletal physiotherapist who is well versed with ACL rehab protocol...however your pain needs to be at a minimum level before starting any exercises for ACL tear....i hope you have consulted an orthopaedic surgeon regarding this as well. apply ice packs immediately , your physician may prescribe you with NSAIDS and PAin suppressants. the for ACL TEAR give some rest to ACL AND AVOID uneven surfaces to walk/run onto. Continue your strengthening exercises of quadriceps .
Next Steps
continue with therapy session and contact general physician to prescribe you pain suppressants.

You can go for the laser therapy at physiotherapy Clinic for grade 1n 2 ACL injury! If above this grade's you need to get ACL reconstruction surgery and you will be totally pain free!
