There are many factors to be considered. Before measuring your blood pressure, make sure you sit calm for 5-10 minutes Upright and keep the instrument at the heart level. Do not measure BP right after a meal. Wait for some time. Decrease salt content in food and avoid oily, fried and sweet food. If the bp regularly is around the higher side that is around 140 or above, kindly consult a doctor

One reading is not enough. You need to monitor over few days . Even if consistently high we need to see for any underlying cause as you are young and then treat accordingly. First keep a record of BP over few days and if consistently high then consult

B.P is within normal range. No treatment is required for it. If you have any symptoms or other underlying problems like diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, etc., consultation is advised.
