Hi warm lemon water on empty stomach upon waking is very effective in losing overweight..followed by a brisk walk for 45 mins..and thereafter include high fiber diet, well balanced meals, physical activities both morning and evening, home cooked healthy food, more of gourd vegetables, avoid roots and tuber vegetables, completely avoid all outside foods as much as you can, plenty of drinking water per day around 2 to 3 litres , good night sleep...

Hi, Ideal body weight for your height is 55-58 Kgs. Here are a few tips that will help you:- Exercise 40-45 minutes 4-5 times a week. Eat small frequent meals every 2 -3 hours Have whole grain cereals like millets and pulses Eat protein rich diet (especially post workout, it will help in building muscle) and improve metabolism. Eat proper breakfast, as 40% of day’s energy comes from breakfast. Include healthy fat in your diet like nuts - almonds and walnuts, seeds like pumpkin, watermelon, sunflower seeds, etc. Eat fiber rich diet, it will help to gain early satiety and help you feel full - include fruits and vegetables in your diet Avoid junk food, oily food, processed or canned foods. Drink a glass of water every hour daily to optimally hydrate the body. Note: the given prescription can change according to different conditions.

Basic low calorie diet plan would be to reduce your carbohydrates portions to less than what you are eating now , like 2 chapati  per meal, with more quantity  of dhals or pulses or lentils or sprouts  as your protein  for the day along with variety  of vegetables  such  as greens ,other vegetables, which can be 4 to 5 portions + seasonal  fruits( limit it to one fruit per day).Along with this calorie  burning  appropriate  physical activity can be included
Next Steps
Restrict  simple carbohydrates, sugars and processed  foods.
