Firstly the most important thing what you need to stop is 'dont skip to eat in night' if you are not eating anything you are ruining your body more which may bulge your stomach or belly more out. Already when we are in rest mode in the night body goes in fasting mode. As you say if your BMI is normal then it may bee not belly fat could be bloating issues of indigestion too. Before jumping to any random suggestions rectify the cause so you get correct guidance.
Next Steps
Get you blood test also done possibly to identify the exact cause. Most of the time caused are hidden don't wait for long.

Hello, Good morning, Since you are IT professional, I can understand how your work will be. Sitting for long time doesn't seems good. Take a break in every 1 or 2 hours, stretch, roam for atleast 5 to 10 minutes. Don't skip your meals. If you are taking lunch and the next meal will be at next morning means, more than 16 hours you will be in fasting, right. That's not good.
Next Steps
Considering your age and if any of your family member have diabetes, don't hesitate, do check your sugar level.
Health Tips
Change your lifestyle by having one cup of cut fruits daily, regular exercise or yoga (suryanamaskara), brisk walk, 3 to 4 litres of water, home food, good sleep, stress free. Any beverage other than tea, coffee, juice, homemade drink can be avoided. Use steps instead of lift in your office. For more details plz do contact me via practo. Have a healthy day!! 😊 Thank you With regards Dt Chithira

Hi Not eating / skipping  meals is not the solution of your problem. For indians,  BMI cutff is 23 and not 25.
Next Steps
Regular exercise like Brisk walk,  cycling , swimming / suryanamaskar/ yoga,  or strength training exercises will help you along with well balanced diet. Make sure to eat at regular intervals.  Do not overeat.  Avoid any fad diets. Say no to excess sugar, excess fat, , excess salt and alcohol. sleep well. All the best
