Im so much heavily depressed after the change in my husband's behaviour due to some people in his family. He has been giving more attention to his sisters and their children than me and he doesnt listen to me at all but always wants me to listen to him.He also doesnt treat me well and uses disrespectful words that are really so hurtful.I always try to adjust myself even in such situation by giving him chances again and again. At some point its so manipulative nature. He was not like this before but since 3 years he has changed. Its affecting my mental peace and physical health too. :"(

Start by identifying and clearly communicating your needs and boundaries, especially around disrespectful or hurtful language. Avoid trying to resolve serious disagreements when either of you is highly emotionally charged; take a pause and return to the conversation when calmer.
Next Steps
Consider individual counselling to process the emotional impact, strengthen coping skills, and gain clarity about what you want from the relationship. If your husband is willing, couples counselling may help improve communication and address recurring relationship difficulties. If there is any threat of physical harm, intimidation, coercion, or you feel unsafe, prioritise your safety and seek support from a trusted person or appropriate local support service.
Health Tips
You do not have to keep tolerating hurtful or disrespectful behaviour simply to maintain the relationship. Giving someone chances is different from repeatedly accepting behaviour that continues to harm you. Also, try not to make major relationship decisions solely during periods of intense distress—give yourself time, support, and space to evaluate the situation clearly.

Hi Has ji’s sister n family come to live with u? Or are they away from u? Nevertheless if he is giving more attention to them maybe something in their life has changed so drastically that he thinks they need him. However if u feel sidelined and neglected then speak to him clearly about it. If u have already done so and things remain unchanged for u then draw your boundaries. Do not give in to his and behaviour or adjust to his misgivings. Things may not change but it’ll give u some peace of mind to regain some lost ground.
Next Steps
Go for couples therapy.
Health Tips
Seeking individual therapy will also help u to remain calm in this difficult situation

I need to understand right from the beginning as to it was love or arranged marriage, educational, their culture etc. Any how 3 years time, which u suffered  is also too long to decide a consultancy. What was u understanding, was it mchosen partner or forced partner, environment all plays important roles. Weather it's their issue or your in capability to coup up the joint family? Purely depends on personality traits. Here you can do ONLY FROM YOUR SID3 unless both H & W decide for couple counseling. You need to be firm on your points, seek parental intervention, ask husband to join couple counseling.
Next Steps
must go for couple counseling if the problem is from others.
Health Tips
be careful in dealing as it's your life and issue. Maintain cool and avoid undersized arguments. any physical or verbal abuse .. must seek help. Dr. Dharmendra Solanki, PhD.
