Acid reflux is a common issue, here are some steps you can incorporate in your daily lifestyle: -Some foods worsen acidity: strictly avoid fried foods, spicy dishes, processed foods, sugary foods, caffeine, citrus, fatty foods, carbonated drinks. -Eat small, frequent meals - avoid overeating and late-night eating. -You can have cinnamon water in the morning (in warm water mix ½ tsp cinnamon, a pinch of black pepper, stir and sip). After main meals, have ½ tsp fennel seeds or jeera-ajwain (½-½ tsp mixed) boiled in water and sipped slowly. -Walk gently for 10–15 minutes after each meal to support digestion. -Improve gut health by including prebiotic-rich foods like oats, bananas, onion, garlic; and probiotic foods like kombucha, curd or buttermilk daily. -Don’t lie down right after meals and elevate your head during sleep.
