Visited Dr. B K Madhusudhan (Neurologist) For Neurological Problems

Happy with: Explanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionDoctor friendliness
I am adding this review to aid others who might be searching for a good Senior Neurologist in a stressful situation - me & my family went through this very recently and were fortunate enough to have chosen Dr MadhuSudhan B K. I would strongly recommend him based on my experience.
Background:
One of the family members started to find it harder to find their way back home from a nearby shop all of a sudden. We have been living in the same house for almost 7years. We were worried and took him to a general physician who then referred us to consult a Neurologist for help on this issue.
We started searched for a Senior Neurologist but were seeing mixed reviews for everyone we could find. After much search, we decided to go in for a consultation with Dr MadhuSudhan B K. He evaluated the family member and asked a set of questions related to simple subtraction, today's date and so on. He also recommended an MRI Scan and EEG. The MRI Scan came out without issues, but there was a lot of variations in the EEG report which was alarming. He asked us not to panic, gave us a lot of hope and recommended a few more blood tests be done - some of these take 4 days as they are sent to Mumbai for processing. Based on the past blood test reports, he also asked for booster shots of Vitamin B12 to be administered. He recommended an interim set of medications for those 4 days and sent us back home while we were ok with getting admitted at the hospital - I can still recall his words - at Hospital we can only treat the family member, but the real recovery and healing happens at the home amongst the family members. He recommended a few things around the diet and sent us back home. At this stage, we were really not sure if we have chosen the right doctor.
From the blood test reports, it was determined that LGi-1. Antibody (VGKC type) was positive. Working as a Software professional, I did not know what this meant. The doctor explained that the body's immunity system was affecting/killing the body's own healthy Neurons resulting in this problem. We were more interested in how to get this fixed - he explained that this is a relatively newer problem and there are multiple course of treatments possible and that we should try with simpler ones first before going in for more complex options which are not only costlier but also carry a significant risk for the family member. We were in agreement and the course of treatment started with a cocktail of steroids. The family member complained that these were causing them to be drowsy but yet could not sleep properly in the night, hence we consulted the doctor again and he mentioned that the medicines currently being given have this side effect and he will not add any sleeping medicines as it will adversely affect the family member. He recommended meditation and some yoga if possible at the age.
Now at the end of the course, the family member is doing well and has completely recovered without going in for any of the other complicated treatments.
I sincerely believe that Dr Madhusudhan B K is a very good doctor who takes to heart the overall well being of his patients and does things that is right for the patient, though at times (when the sleep tablets request was rejected) it would appear to be blunt.
I personally gave him a chocolate as a token of gratitude for helping my family in our time of need.
Visited Dr. Anil Patil (Joint Replacement Surgeon) For Knee Replacement
Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfaction
We visited Dr Anil Patil for treatment of my Mother-in-law's Knee issue.
Dr. Anil as a Consultant: Dr Anil was very quick to check and get the basic tests done and advise the treatment required and treatment plan.
His swiftness to assess the issue and give confidence the patient and their family of the treatment required and how it benefits etc is really good.
Dr Anil makes sure that he explains the situation in a way that even a layman can understand. This really helps the patient and their family to ask more questions and understand better. This environment for open discussion eases a lot of inhibitions.
Dr. Anil as a Surgeon: I must say he is gifted with good hands that do wonders . My mother-in Law's bilateral TKR is a testimony of this. she could not thanks Dr. Anil enough for making her quality of life better where she had lost all hopes. We are happy that we choose Dr Anil as our health care provider.
Sparsh Hospital: Dr Anil asked us to get admitted at Sparh Hospital at Yashwanhpur and gave a contact of Sheethal for completing the insurance pre-auth formalities. Sheethal got this authorization very quickly and advised us the date of admission. on the day of admission, I was very scared as I saw a room full of customers discussing various issue at the billing department. I thought, I will have to go through this ordeal to have my bills settled even though I had complete per-authorization from my insurer.
This is where Sheethal come in and helps me right with the admission process to discharge. I am glad that I had Sheethal by my side who took utmost care of the queries, issues/ concerns that we had. Her calm approach makes it very pleasant experience at the hospital and my initial impressions were totally ironed out.
Sheethal is truly a reflection of her name and her customer oriented approach is highly appreciable.
My whole family was very happy that we had such good experience at Sparsh Hospital Yashwanthpur.
Thank you Sheethal for being so helpful.
Visited Dr. Sai Krishna B Naidu (Orthopedic surgeon) For Arthroscopy

I had a problem of my left shoulder getting dislocated for over past two decades. We did consult doctors in the past and had discussed about it including options of going for a surgery. However, we kept on postponing it. The last dislocation for me happened in August 2021 and it was quite severe. This is the time we had an opportunity to consult Dr. Sai Krishna B Naidu (Orthopedist, Sparsh Hospital, Yeshwanthpur, Bangalore). He examined me thoroughly and suggested a MRI. After analyzing the report, he explained us in detail the situation and status of my shoulder joint. I was diagnosed to have left shoulder Anteroinferior Bankart’s lesion + Hill Sachs lesion. Dr. Sai Krishna recommended to go for Arthroscopy of Shoulder. He explained us clearly about the course of treatment and its benefits and gave us the confidence. We were very convinced and clear; and decided to go for the Shoulder Arthroscopy. Dr. Sai Krishna and his team did a fantastic job and the surgery was very successful. After all my sessions of Physiotherapy now I am very comfortable, relieved and glad. Dr. Sai Krishna is very friendly and approachable. He listens to all our queries patiently and answers them! He is very caring.
After having done the Arthroscopy, now I feel that I took a great decision to go for it; and of course, I was very fortunate to have Dr. Sai Krishna doing it. We are very thankful to him.
Based on my extremely good experience, I would recommend going for Arthroscopy for anyone with similar problems with shoulder without prolonging it. Dr. Sai Krishna would take a very good care. **** *** *** **** *** *** ******** *********** *** *** ** *** **** ******
Visited Dr. Sneha Rajiv (Gynecologist) For Pregnancy Check Up

Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for moneyWait time
Being our first child, I was little skeptical and choosy about which doctor to go for, specially when we hear that most of the doctors/hospitals go for caeserian section even, where normal delivery is possible. I decided to change the doctor which we initially consulted within one month, & started exploring other options and finally came across the reviews online for Dr. Sneha Rajiv and decided to consult her. She was like a boon for me, my wife and my baby, we were so comfortable with her, she explained all the things with patience and was always available for any advise even during COVID Pandemic, she kept motivating my wife and kept her attitude positive, when she saw signs of normal delivery she was patient enough so that that my baby completes full cycle of pregnancy. I was very pleased when she recommended us to a scan center where the quality of test and scans were far more better and cheaper when compared to rates charged by hospitals. I came across her expertise when she single handedly took control when during labor and my baby was born normally in front of me, I never imagined that I would be so lucky to witness the entire procedure in front me, that was all possible because of Dr Sneha Rajiv because she kept motivating us and always guided us. I strongly recommend her.
