Visited Dr. Anant Kumar (Urologist) For Enlarged Prostate
Hoped for better: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for money
I took my father to Dr. Anant at Max Hospital Saket, and our experience was extremely disappointing:
Lack of Personal Attention: After waiting for hours, my father was initially examined by Dr. Anant’s juniors. When Dr. Anant finally saw us, he spent just a few minutes with us and immediately recommended surgery.
Confusing Explanations: Dr. Anant's junior explained that reduced urine flow could be due to either a stricture or an enlarged prostate. During the consultation, Dr. Anant told his junior that the chances of a stricture at 70 years old are remote.
Diagnosis Confirmation: Poor urine flow was confirmed by Uroflowmetry.
Rushed and Inadequate Consultations: During our next OPD consultation, Dr. Anant insisted that surgery was the only treatment option and didn’t explain much, stating he would provide details on the day of surgery. The rush of patients was overwhelming, and like our earlier consultation, it was clear he was more focused on seeing more patients.*********** ****** ******** ***** ** ******** ******* ******* ** ******* *** ***** ***** ** ***** We decided to proceed with the surgery.
Post-Surgery Communication Issues: After the surgery, Dr. Anant didn’t meet us. The next day, he briefly said everything was fine. When I asked if there was a stricture, he said no.
Continued Problems Post-Surgery: After a few days, we were discharged, but my father's urine flow was still not good. Dr. Anant assured us it would improve in 7 days.************ ********* After 7 days, we returned, and Dr. Anant then said it would take 30 days.
Contradictory Statements: After 30 days, we visited again, and Dr. Anant claimed he had told us to go for surgery again. When I reminded him that he had already done the surgery, he changed his statement, saying some other issue had come up, and started giving excuses.

Further, you will be shocked to know that we were informed that the minor laser operation would coast us approximately 70, 000 which was more than the rates of the market but trusting the doctor and the hospital we agreed. But it was our mistake, post operation they asked us to pay approximately 1,50,000 ONE LAKH FIFTY THOUSAND RUPEES and UNTIL I paid the entire amount, they didn't allow my sister to change the cloth.

Visited Dr. Sumeet Sethi (Cardiologist)
What began as a Discomfort ...
Feb. 19...It wasn’t a day I‘d want to remember.
Some time after lunch, all of a sudden I felt a little discomfort on the chest. That was for the start. By the second, then, it took the form of a throbbing, pain and more pain. And there was dizziness, to boot. Oh God, heart attack? The ghabrahat was awesome. An unspoken fear gripped all of us.
Within minutes, relatives drove me to Max Emergency (next door) as a man 83 years old was just beginning to see his world very nearly collapse like a pack of cards!
Now, clearly, was not the time to line up to fill out hosp applications and the like. Thankfully, at a random curtained-off enclosure right there about the Entry, a band of helpful medical staff surfaced. ECG-ready and the like, they moved in instantly, when they scented a danger imminent. They doubled up the efforts, up until they wheeled me right into the Cathlab.
All my life, I’ve never been candidate for a blood pressure, heart attack or such other ailment. How proud I used to be that way. Now here I was -- about to undergo an inevitable coronary procedure.
At the hands of an Interventional Cardiologist. We picked up first-person recommendation about him on our way to the hospital -- from a professional colleague in the media. Now, I’d say, Dr Sumeet Sethi truly lived up to his image. To the doctor and his youthful team, I am even more obliged for one important reason: I am able to live on today to write these few lines!
To the lay person, Sethi is easy to communicate. You at once get the impression he’s listening to your ‘ghabrahat’; “Sir, take it from me. You’re going to be all right,” he’d say. “Oh, no ... the procedure is not painful. A prick of the pin, no more?” And as he starts the procedure, he asks you: “Sir, did it hurt?” A perfect man at confidence-building, I told myself.
So simple it was that you wouldn’t know it lasted even the 45 minutes it took actually. By then, he had investigated it as “a Double Vessel Disease!“. And tracking the artery “block”, he went ahead and planted a “stent” to ease the flow of blood.
His professional talent apart, I’ve found him to be a modest person, totally self-effacing. Says the doctor, “The procedures are uncomplicated and well tolerated by the patient.”
At ACC where I was recuperating post-procedure, I found the medical, para-medical and almost every other member of the staff to be very congenial, courteous and willing to help you. The management in charge deserve full kudos. And, if it were not for a hospital, one would have said the facility is so good one wishes to visit it again (ha, ha)..
Visited Dr. Ashish Vashistha (General Surgeon)
Well, to me there were always two types of doctors: good and very good until we met Dr Ashish Vashistha – an epitome of professionalism, excellence and personal greatness!
We had luck by chance situation to be able to see him under Acute Cholecystitis crisis of my Wife at Max Hospital Gurugram. Unlike others, he didn’t scare us with the ongoing severity but explained the need and process to have the laparoscopic removal while ensuring comfort with the patient and already creating a strong aura of care and wellbeing through his course of upcoming treatment that indeed extends across the post-surgery period. Whilst my wife is recovering fast, we already share a great bond with the doctor and his support team and highly recommend anyone in need. ******* * ***** **** *** **** ******* ********** ******* ** ***** **** *** ***** **** with decades of experience and still very accessible & grounded; something that's sometimes a miss with doctors of this high stature in India.

My Uncle got admitted to the MAX hospital, Saket and was undergoing treatment there. So it happened like this. I went to ask a few questions to get clarification on the ongoing treatment of my Uncle on behalf of my Cousin and Aunty, since they were not so well versed in communicating with her (Dr. Roopa Salwan).
Initially, everything went well, *** * **** ** **** ***** ******** ** **** ********* **** *** *** ** ******* **** *** ******* ********* * ***** ** **** ** ****** **** *** *** **** ** * ***** *** *** *** **** **** ** ****** **** ***** **** ******* ***** *** *** **** ******* ***** ****** *** ***** *** ******* ***** ********* ***********

I recently underwent the Lasik surgery performed by Dr. Sonika Gupta, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience. From the initial consultation to the follow-up appointments, Dr. Gupta demonstrated exceptional professionalism, expertise, and care.

She isn't someone who makes a patient feel comfortable or is polite. I missed my follow up with her because I was told she is on leave those days, and later just to show my reports to her I have to take an appointment. I waited, was patient and asked her if she would she the reports without appointment.
She rather than saying no to me. Started yelling at me, who was still weak and has a febrile voice. She didn't even let me in the room, started yelling at me out in the hallway for all other patients, nurses and doctors to see. When I asked her to let me explain my situation, she started dictating hospital policy at the top of her voice.
I would have taken an appointment if she had politely turned me down or just turned me down, rather than creating a scene.
After being shouted at by her in front of 50 or so people, I decided *** ** *** **** ** *** ***** *** respond in kind, not that I could due to my weakness, I just decided not to see her again ** * ***** **** ** ** ******* ** **** *******

Visited Dr. Sameer Shrivastava (Cardiologist) For Heart Conditions
Happy with: Doctor friendliness
Dr. Sameer is a very important person in my circle.....known to many friends and family members as THE CARDIOLOGIST to go to, one who is an inseparable part of our lives. That he is preeminent in his field, having served humanity for close to four decades in best hospitals in Delhi (last few years as the head of non invasive surgery) is just one small part of why he is such a good doctor. It is his approachability, patient friendly manner and genuine concern for the patient well being and interest that separates him and places him ahead in the pack of luminaries. He is quick in his diagnosis and explaining the treatment choices. Only the other day, Dr. Sameer took just a few seconds in diagnosing an underlying cardiac issue causing falls to my 74 year old friend who was previously hospitalized and being treated by an eminent neurologist for some esoteric neurological conditions!
Though a skeptic in essence, I accept Dr. Sameer word about my disease and treatment as Gospel and actually look forward to my quarterly visits! I have known very few doctors with brilliance in academics, huge experience & international renown display such rare humility and compassion as Dr. Sameer does. Kudos Dr. Sameer...I wish and pray that you keep doing this for aeon! You are a real savior- of both body and soul! Amen!!
