Based on my needs and issues, I can confidently say that Anu maam is a good match for me. I deal with emotional dysfunction, identity crisis and screen addiction among other issues. I have had a long on and off client-therapist relationship with her and not once I felt a disconnect with her. The secret lies in her ability to be candid, spontaneous and humanely. She successfully creates a non-judgemental environment. She helps me in exploring alternative explanations and in gaining a different perspective. I have become more expressive and self aware. Once I couldn't make the payment after the session and she politely said that I can pay in next session. This shows her concern for the client! With the education qualifications she has, she charges very reasonably; something that I absolutely admire about her as a professional!!

Anu has been a brilliant psychologist for me for about 8 months now. What I find in her, which is a marked departure from other professionals I have been to, is that she not only makes you understand why your past triggers or traumas are leading to issues in your present — but also spends her time equipping you with tools to process that realisation in a way that will help you break patterns. Amongst other things, she will ask you to develop a healthier vocabulary for your issues, to stay with the emotions and observe them in your body and send over worksheets to process things. This helped me regulate my emotions and responses like never before. It does not happen overnight, healing is not a linear process (she will say this a lot haha), and that is right. But I have seen, and I speak for myself, visceral changes within me.

I'm not sure where to begin or end with talking about Anu. Dr Gehlot - who, over the past two years, I have grown to call Anu - is an absolute gem of a person and a superlative psychologist. Kind, generous, spirited, Anu stands out from every other therapist I have ever visited for her ability to listen without judgement - and to offer solution WITH you rather than TO you. When you need it, she lends an ear, advice, CBT strategies, friendly banter - pretty much everything in one. To be honest, in the last two years, my life - anxiety and OCD-riddled - is better and richer for her presence and her kind words. It's not often you 'vibe' so perfectly with a mental health professional, but when you do, don't let them go. I couldn't recommend Anu higher to anybody going through something tough and seeking a little help to get through.

I have been consulting Ms. Anu Gehlot for about 2 years and have made significant progress in dealing with OCD and anxiety. She is an extremely competent psychologist who is aware about the issues at hand and knows the different methods to tackle them. Mental illnesses like OCD can be very alienating because very few people understand them, but I always feel lighter and better after my sessions with her. I can easily say that I am better equiped to deal with a chronic issue like OCD than I was 2 years ago. She is a kind, compassionate, and empathetic person. And these are some essential qualities for a good therapist. I was lucky to have found her through Practo itself because it is often very difficult to find a suitable psychologist without loads of research. I would recommend anyone suffering from mental health issues or life issues in general to consult her.
