Mohit Hospital which is situated in Borivali East, near National Park, has been serving the population of Northern Suburbs since 1987. At that time it was started as 12 bedded small nursing home providing only Medical and Intensive care treatment. In the year 2000, it was expanded and renovated to 25 bedded Hospital with multi specialty practice, like Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dermatology apart from existing Medicine practice. Along with multi-specialty services, operation theater was also started.In our attempt to provide everything under one roof also some diagnostic services were started like; X-ray, Ultra-Sonography, Pathology Laboratory, 2D-Echo, Color Doppler.Since last 10 years, there has been a lot of transformation and improvement in the Medical delivery System and the standards of Health care has been raised. But one could avail all the facilities only at corporate and which was not possible for everyone for financial reasons.In our attempt to cope with the latest trend of Health care delivery system and also to make such health care to affordable to all class of people, we transformed our Operation Theater to Modular O.T. with Laminar airflow, Hermetic Sealed door and Air Curtain in Order to provide complete sterile environment which is very much essential of Joint Replacement, Spine surgeries, along with C-arm which is necessary to perform Orthopaedic and urological cases.We have upgraded our self from Manual X-ray system to Digital X-ray system with High-Frequency X-ray machine, which emits less radiation and hence less hazardous for the patient and the technician. Physiotherapy center has also been started in order to provide complete Orthopaedic Care along with existing health care facilities.
