Oma Hospital - A Women's Speciallty Hospital, Chembur East

Writing this review after exeperiencing 9 Months of hospitality and services. From the inception to the successful delivery of my child.

We were accustomed to high end hospital of south Mumbai. Apparantely we conceived during April 2020 when Fear of Covid was at its peak. I was very sceptical to go to any hospitals and finally decided to look for a nearby "Women only" hospital so that the travel is less and chances of cross contamination is less, after all it was the question of our upcoming child which is more important than our life. Had visited few to check and zero downed to OMA Hospital. Without a second doubt it was the best decision of my life.

OMA hopsital's condition, cleanliness, hygiene and attitude of staff is none less than any top hospitals of Mumbai. During these months several time we had to visit for the usual check ups and not a single time I found a glitch, either in cleanliness, Hygiene, services or breach of any safety check and sops. Each and every staff attitude was very professional without any compromise and with atmost care to the patient.

Post delivery the care given by Nurse to the child and patient is next to a Mother. (Eg. - In wee hour (either its 2 AM or 3 AM) whenever baby cried the nurse came in a fraction of seconds without calling and took care of Baby like mother. This shows the commitment towards their duty and attitude towards the patient and child)

Coming to the God of this Temple... Dr. Tanuja Uchil.. without any doubt She is the best Gynecologist you can ever have. I will say she was a boon for us during this pandemic. With a very profound knowledge and experience, She has a very positive persona and treat her patients like her own child. Will give quality time to understand and make patients understand the treatments and macro manage each steps to ensure everything goes smooth. (Affirmative: A Genuine Doctor who gives time to Quality)

In short : If you are looking for a Gynecologist and women hospital with Top quality, Top hygiene and cleanliness, Genuine Care, profound experience and a reasonable price : OMA hospital is the answer.

Let's start with the positive aspects. Initially, they had me fill out a comprehensive form covering topics relevant to my concerns, which I found helpful. I found the hospital to be squeaky clean, well-maintained, and hygienic.

However, the positives were overshadowed by the numerous issues I encountered during my visit. Despite the Practo wait time guarantee, I ended up waiting for over 60 minutes. When I was finally taken in, the doctor spent about 2-3 minutes listening to my issue before leading me to the examination room. The preparation for the exam involved getting undressed and seating on the examination chair. I found myself sitting in a state of undress and waiting on the examination chair for a whole 30 minutes. This left me feeling extremely uncomfortable, embarrassed and anxious as the doctor attended to other patients.

While I did keep on asking for the doctor, I didn't feel comfortable confronting the doctor or staff about the wait when she finally arrived. The doctor finally attended to me and the examination went alright, and I was directed back to the consultation room for further advice. However, upon entering, I found the doctor attending to another patient, which led to another 10-15 minutes of waiting.

Eventually, I did receive attention and I was out within 5 minutes. The entire process from consultation to examination to consultation again took about 2 hours and 15 minutes, while the actual time spent with the doctor was just about 15 minutes.

To top it off, I wasn't provided with any consultation notes initially and had to insist on receiving them. Overall, despite high hopes based on reviews and the clinic's appearance, my experience left much to be desired.

While I won’t be visiting again, but I hope the doctor and clinic take into account my experience and ensure that other patients don’t go through the same embarrassing and unpleasant ordeal of waiting in a state of undress on the gynecological chair.

* *** * ***** ********** ** *** ********* I went to Dr. Tanuja during my pregnancy & she gave sufficient time & attention to each & every aspect of my pregnancy & guided me accordingly. Throughout my consultation I felt easy to share my concerns & queries with Doctor due to her friendly nature. Every time I visited the doctor I felt more confident. The hospital is well maintained in terms of hygiene & cleanliness. The hospital is also well equipped with all necessary equipments. The receptionists are very friendly & helpful. Post delivery care given by nurses is excellent. I had a c section & hence the 24 hours post delivery was challenging. But the care my baby & I got at the hospital was exceptional. When the baby wakes up either day or night for feed or potty the nurses would come in fraction of seconds & take care of the baby. The nurses also helped me understand how to nurse, swaddle & burp my baby. A special thanks to Dr Madan who used to conduct all my ultrasound scans & assure me of my baby's wellbeing. The only drawback would be wait time for consultation but thats ignorable looking at all the other positive aspects.

I have been consulting with her for some time now, and I must say she is an excellent doctor. She is extremely approachable, friendly, and makes you feel completely at ease during the consultation. What I truly appreciate is the way she takes time to explain every detail with ***** patience, ensuring that I understand my condition, the reports, and the treatment plan thoroughly. Her guidance is always clear, reassuring, and backed with genuine care. It is rare to find a doctor who combines expertise with such warmth and compassion, and I feel very grateful for her support.

Had a great experience at Oma hospital.I went to Dr.Tanuja during my pregnancy,she gives sufficient time and attention to each of her patient and explains everything in a very simple manner. You will feel very positive and confident after talking to her. She doesn't prescribe unnecessary tests.The hospital is equipped with latest technology, well maintained, spotlessly clean and hygienic.Staff at Oma is friendly, efficient and extremely caring.We are fortunate and lucky to get treatment from a very much experienced Dr like Dr.Tanuja who helped us become proud parents of our little angel.

I waited from 2.30 to 6.pm litterally how can a pregnant woman in the crisis of corona made to be suffer **** *** **** ** ** ******** *** ****** ******** ** ** **** ** ******* Staff is of more than bad category in terms of providing comfort ,information to waiting patients all they do is chit chatt among themselves and answer your queries with utmost attitude..Also about doctor she is sweet at her words *** **** **** ********* ** ********* ** ** ********* ** ********* ***** ** ********* i was worried but since i change my doctor things went positive for me think before visiting here!

I have been visiting doc tanuja for my pcod issues from 2012…after my marriage in the year 2023 i conceived and my pregnancy with my delivery was under her supervision and guidance…my honest review towards the treatment i received is definitely top notch…my pregnancy and delivery was taken care of at every stage with top priority…staff has been helpful and cooperative at every stage…as my pregnancy was high risk had to go in for c-section however i must say i had the best delivery experience with doctor tanuja…i am greatfull and blessed to have her to bring my baby safely delivered…will highly recommend her….

during the first trimester of my pregnancy I got the issue of urinary retention. instead of explaining the issue, root cause and treatment I was asked to get admitted. I was admitted for 2 days and the issue was still not resolved. even after asking again and again we still did not get any information from the doctor about the issue. I was highly disappointed with their approach and got ripped of 25 to 30 thousand rupees for being admitted. I have known Dr Tanuja for more than 30 years now. She is one of the most ************** caring and compassionate doctor. These values are very hard to find in this fast t paced life. She is very patient and explains the pros and cons of any particular situation. I will always recommend her to anyone known to me.

I had and still have multiple fibroid issues. I had heavy bleeding during periods because of this. At that time any other doctor would have advised hysterectomy. But she told me to bear this for some time till menopause. And now 10 yrs after my menopause, i still have my uterus intact thanks to her.
