Who is sexually more aggressive?

They say men crave for sex more often than the women do. Women are much less interested in sex.

The statistics based on interviews of couples show that gone are the days when 'demanding sex' was considered exclusively a man's forte. Today women demand sex more often than men. And they have no qualms about getting vocal about it. Typically younger women are less expressive about their need for sex, as they might be naive and inexperienced. But the female libido increases and women become more expressive and vocal about their cravings as they age.

Men are stimulated sexually by images and visual imagery, unlike women.

Women do not always talk about their visual imagery. Women actually might be more turned on by visual stimuli than men, they're just less likely to talk about it.

Men can be aroused and ready in seconds. Women take much longer to become sexually aroused.

Men typically get aroused even by the sex talk or few minutes of foreplay. Women could typically get aroused by mere anticipation of being intimate with a potential mate and the right foreplay. In a committed relationship like a long-term marriage, the partners are hard-wired for each other, the moment there is a well-sought opportunity, the partners are ready.

Women's libidos and sexual enjoyment decrease with age. In fact, menopause is the end of women's sex life!

It is presumed that men can remain potent and fertile well into their old age. Men are known to have fathered children well into their seventies. While it is true that the sperm production may go on late in old age; it is noted that all the afflictions of old age, such as stress and other physical ailments like obesity, addictions, hypertension and diabetes affect sexual performance badly. Erectile dysfunction is the most common problem affecting the 40+ men and has been cited as the cause for rising incidence of marital discord in India.

Researchers have found that women in their 30s and 40s actually have higher sex drives than teenage girls and the women in their 20's.

What's more, women in their 40s can also experience more powerful orgasms and are more likely to be multi-orgasmic.

While women fall in love with their sexual partners; men are totally capable of having multiple casual sex encounters without being emotionally involved.

They call it the “love-hormone” Oxytocin, which is associated with orgasms in both men and women. It is also called the ‘cuddling hormone‘ and is said to be responsible for bonding between the romantic partners. It is also secreted at the time of childbirth and is thought to be responsible for the bondage between the mother and the child.

The fact is, oxytocin is secreted in both the sexes and that orgasming has a similar effect on both men and women. The bonding effect is common to both sexes.

Men are meant to have multiple sex partners. Women are best suited to sexual monogamy.

Studies have shown though that Long-term relationship is associated with decreasing sexual desire, frequency and satisfaction in both men and women. Women bear and rear children, they tend to remain committed to their child as well as to the father of the child.
