What is Sunstroke?
It is the effect of exposure to severe heat of the sun. It is an emergency which requires immediate help. 
What causes Sunstroke?
It is due to exposure to heat of Sun
What are the signs that can help me identify a Sunstroke?
The most common signs of Sunstrokes are-
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Visual disturbances
  • Sudden unconsciousness
  • Fever
  • Loss of sweat
  • Severe cramps in the extremities
  • Skin is hot, dry &flushed.
  • Pulse irregular
  • Low blood pressure
  • Convulsions

How to take care of someone getting a Sunstroke?

Following are some ways you to deal with Sunstrokes- 
  • Cool yourself by fanning or by sprinkling water on your face.
  • Use ice packs to bring down your body temperature.
  • I.V. fluids//ORS Solution/elctrol powder/elivator should be consumed in large quantities to avoid/minimize dehydration.
  • For symptomatic relief consult the physician.
  • Rest properly till you feel completely revived. Do not try to push yourself otherwise.
  • Consume a lot of fluids.

When you are out in the sun, it is essential you cover your head at all times and drink plenty of water!
